Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Hi,I have an requirement to convert the non-pdf to pdf documents, the AEM server installed is linux version. As per the Adobe documentation, Installed the openoffice and run the SRT. The response is nill. Also when checked with Adobe they are telling that there could be openoffice installation issue.I tried to reach openoffice team but there is no much use. can somebody help me here or guide on resolving this issue 

We are working in a headless setup and i am trying to stay away from writing any custom JS functions for form field validations due to security reasons.For a simple rule example, prevent a Name field from accepting any special chars, i am unable to accomplish this entirely with rule editor. Tried many combinations and none worked. Have few similar use cases, where i need to use rule editor. i tried using “contains” but unable to find a way to concat multiple special chars.Any rule that i can pass a regex to validate, example Account Number (custom xx-xxxxxx). In foundation, we used to have a way to pass Regex. In core, i only see few OOTB example SSN, Phone number, Email, Zip etc. 

In the hierarchy the root object’s properties are no longer available to make changes to the settings.  This makes the pages objects under it unavailable in to the settings of the Pagination window.  Without these settings being usable then pages can’t be assigned to masterpages.

Hi community,  We want to share details about a significant regression in AEM 6.5 LTS SP2 (Oak 1.88.x) where online garbage collection (GC) causes the segment store to grow instead of reclaiming disk space, along with an available workaround.  --- What is happening  Customers on AEM 6.5 LTS SP2 observed that after running online GC, disk usage was increasing rather than decreasing. Compaction was taking far longer than expected and writing significantly more data than on AEM 6.5 LTS SP1 (Oak 1.78.x) for the same repository.

Hi community,  We want to share details about a critical issue affecting AEM 6.5 LTS SP1 and AEM 6.5 LTS SP2 customers who perform offline compaction using oak-run.  --- What is happening  After running offline compaction via `oak-run compact` followed by two rounds of online garbage collection (GC), AEM instances were throwing SegmentNotFoundException (SNFE) and becoming inaccessible.  Who is affected  Customers on AEM 6.5 LTS SP1 or SP2 who have run offline compaction with an oak-run jar that does not include this fix. This was a blocker for all customers upgrading to AEM 6.5 LTS SP1/SP2.

Dear Team,We are using AEMaaCS, created adaptive form using Core Components, added rules and created theme, which is working fine as standalone form. While embedding the adaptive form to the AEM Page the rules and styles are not loading. Please help / guide in fixing this issue. Thanks

I have a use case where I have two PDFs. 1- Static PDF  2- Dynamic PDF, generated using AEM Form Communication API (https://developer.adobe.com/experience-manager-forms-cloud-service-developer-reference/api/output-sync/).   Ask - I would like to insert static PDF pages after page 2 of Dynamic PDF(generated using communication API) using Document manipulation APIs (https://developer.adobe.com/experience-manager-forms-cloud-service-developer-reference/api/assembler-sync/#section/Introduction).   Any sample code or DDX file, if this can be done?

When we design adaptive forms with 3 or 4 columns, we noticed they tend to overlap when we switch to mobile renditions, i was under impression in the layout mode, i can arrange them, so they stack up one over the other but i noticed it stays the same after reverting to desktop rendition. Am i missing anything ? Eventually we will be delivering this form in headless but layout is something thats under AEM scope.

I’m trying to do a redirect based on the email domain that they submitted, basically want to redirect them to page A if their non-customer domains, page B if their customer domains. As i know currenly there is no native functionality to cross check the domain to marketo lists correct? Or is there an alternative for this

ADOBE MAKES ASKING QUESTIONS TOO DARN HARD.I have been struggling for an hour to understand my problem and THAT IS RIDICULOUS. I made a virtual copy of an image in LR and then chose “edit a copy in PS with lightroom adjustments”. When I sent the image back to LRc, there was no copy made and the new image overwrote the .TIF file original. My original (with Google AI adjustments that cannot be replicated ‘cuz I’m out of usage tokens) is ** COMPLETELY GONE **. I am quite beyond irritated. Yes, I still have the pre-Google raw file, but I am very much not happy. What should I have done?

Hi,I have come across a problem, where the checkbox which is on Static tagged PDF, is not read correctly by screen readers such as voice over.It reads the title, but not if the checkbox is checked /unchecked. The static PDF which is tagged, as cross mark on the check box, but voice over is not able to recognize it and read it aloud. hence it reads only the title of the checkbox. Please note: The static pdf is rendered using outputservice.generatePDF API and is tagged. NVDA screen reader, is reading check box  unavailable  checked  read only, after the title is read aloud. But Voice over and acrobat pro read aloud is not able to recognize this.Anyone seen this issue before.?

I have a repeatable panel in an Adaptive form built on core components, with a remove button inside the panel and an add button outside. When I use the rule editor to configure the remove button to delete a panel instance, it consistently removes the panel below the one I selected. For example, if I add three panels and try to delete panel 2, panel 3 gets deleted instead. While this could have been resolved using the Code editor, that option isn't available to me. My constraints are that we're working within a headless delivery model, so I can't use guidebridge, and custom JS functions aren't feasible because they would require passing the SOM expression, making the JS form-specific. Given these limitations, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to address this issue. 

We have recently started using Fragments in our Adaptive forms. I noticed that when I create a new fragment, the jcr property (fd:version) defaults to 1.1. However, fragments from the Core form component examples project are set to 2.1. What controls this version assignment? creating a fragment with 1.1 version does show it under /assets. Additionally, after creating a fragment, the components available are all sourced from fd/af/components/. How can I configure this to point to my project instead? I also do not see a template being selected during fragment creation, so I’m unsure how the allowed components are determined.Thanks,Abhishek

Hi all, We are working on delivering adaptive form as headless so a react spa can render it. We have used react starter kit as a base to do the POC. At this point, i have following questions while i try to wrap my head around these things and frame a picture. Any help in explaining would be greatWhen i view https://www.npmjs.com/org/aemforms , i see a af-react-components and af-react-vanilla-components , how are they distinguished ? i see a latest commit into the af-react-components. I also noticed, af-custom-functions, how is this used ? i understand that we can include the same functions in our client libs and instead of loading them, the af-react-renderer would identify as they are included as dependency ? In order to use Scribble signature from Core components, we have been also provided with a custom theme, since this is headless, should i ask Adobe to include the theme into the react version, so it includes it as dependency ? Hello All,We have a single template with English and Spanish pages combined, and the same template can repeat based on data. We are on 6.5.22 Version OnPrem. Running WCM Core version 2.24.6 and Forms Core component version 1.1.78.We are working in a headless setup. The submit button on the form needs to validate the entire form and highlight fields missing validations. I used a button on the click event tried adding validate action. This is only highlighting fields from the panel where i clicked Submit. Submit is directly placed underneath the guide container. So, the experience i am seeing, If i hit submit and go to next panel, i dont see any fields highlighted.We want to do this because, the react SPA is going to intercept the submit button and parse the DOM to collect all error messages and display as a modal. I have noticed some OOTB actions like “navigatebetweenpanels” is missing in OnPrem but avaiable on cloud. Any ideas on how to go about this will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I am facing an issue where the screen reader (NVDA) is reading out ‘edit unavailable read only’ for all the accessibility tags with <form> tags.<form> tags are generated for all the text field objects from XDP.Is there any way to prevent NVDA from reading this out loud or to prevent <form> tags being generated in the rendered static PDF using output service.Appreciate any help on this topic. 

I have a license to Adobe Acrobat on the web. I have an existing PDF and want to add fillable fields with copying information among the fields. What license / app / software do I need? How to get started?

We are looking to utilize the headless Adaptive form to display the form on an external React SPA. As i understand JSON representation of the form is targeted at /content so it includes the validations, patterns, field limits etc that we configure at component level and that stay under the /content node. But in case of complex requirements, where i need to write my own JS functions, this wont work as client libs will never be sent back through the API. Are there any alternatives to do this ? how flexible is the rule editor in handling a little to medium complex validations. Example, an API call that needs to be made on field select, SSN masking, Prevent future date from being picked etc.

We have desktop-only version of AEM Forms Designer 6.5.21. We save and publish forms as static and Reader-extended PDFs only. We need to tag graphic elements - circles, illustrations, icons - as artefacts, but it is not possible in AEM to assign such items a role. And as you know, we cannot remediate XFAs in Acrobat. This is a problem for WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance. Is this something that is coming in a future update?
