Hi,

I am building a PDF form in  LC Desginer9.0.

I have a requirement to browse a file and display its complete path in a textField. (No need to attach it, just need the complete filename with path)

I am not getting any way to do so. I am stucked in it since last week.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Here is an example with script to access/get the filename and path for the form.

Hi, Niall, Sorry for late reply.

I have checked the link but it is showing the path for the current file. What I need is to open a Browse (Open) Dialog.... Select any file on the hard drive and after selecting that file it should display its complete path in the TextField control or any other control. Basically I want to put the hyperlink to the target file inside the pdf. I am not going to attach that file, I just need the link. For eg: 'E:\LiveCycle\ADBC.pdf' where ADBC.pdf is another file which I have targeted previously.

I hope you understand the problem. Is there any way to do that.

I have tried attachment method using. ImportDataObject but it is only giving the filename.

Any Help!!

Thanks.

Hi Abhinav,

I see what you are trying to achieve now. However I don't think it is

possible. I can't see how you could get that information into the PDF form.

Maybe someone else may have a suggestion.

Good luck,

Niall
