Authentication Errors

Avatar

Hi there,

For some resason I can't authenticate in the room console when creating a new account. All I get in response is "Authentication Error". I'm using my collab URL, my email addess associated with my account, and my PW. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Ryan,

We reproduced your issue.  Long story short, we have a bug with saving password when creating account.  Luckily, editing password works!  So, create an account and if you get an authentication error, edit the account right back and only re-input the password information.  Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Nikola

Did you try connecting to DevPortal ? Does it fail there too ?

If you are still having problems send me a pm with your account info and I'll see if I can find anything strange.

I can connect via the dev portal. I'll shoot you a PM now. Thanks for the help!

A common reason for this to fail is due to a typo in the account URL. Do

make sure that you're not putting a full roomURL in the console - it should

look like http://collaboration.adobelivecycle.com/ followed by [accountName], and not [accountName]/[roomName]

Thanks fellas. I am not including any room information in that URL. Anything else I can try?

Best we can do is have you PM me your account and credentials, I can

quickly try to set up an account in my build, and debug if necessary.

Yeah, wow, this one was crazy - I just checked in a fix that will ship in

the release-after-next. Turns out, this only affects users with uppercase

letters in their passwords, and only in the initial "add an account" dialog.

As Nikola says, just select the account, choose "edit", re-enter the

password, and you're good to go.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for reporting this!
