Very high Life Cycle calls volume in AEP SDK, and cost concern

Hi,

 

Our App is using Adobe Analytics and upgraded from ACP to AEP SDK with XDM & Edge Network recently, found that the amount of Life Cycle calls has increased in a huge amount, contributing to ~70% of our total server calls usage.

 

Our app is now sending Life Cycle call in every single foreground and background event. Even when the user is not using our app, but just swipe through the opened apps and get across our app, the Life Cycle calls are generated.

 

Would like to see if this is an expected behaviour? or we are missing something in our implementation/configuration?

 

As it's talking about 70% more calls than before, it has a very serious impact to our budget on using Adobe Analytics.

 

Suggest anyone upgraded to AEP SDK and using Edge to check their server call usage.
