Ad-Hoc Analysis Not working

Avatar

Level 3

Ever since the release Ad-Hoc analysis has not worked.  I have re-installed Java to ensure I am on the latest version and have launched from the web UI.  When you try to run anything it does nothing.  It will also not let you close the tool, you have to close via the task manager.

Anyone else having the same issue?  I have a ticket open, thinking this route would be faster if someone else had the same issue.

Hi,

The issue has been corrected by engineering team with a code update. If you face the issue again, re-download the discover.jnlp file and it should mitigate it.

Regards,

TM

I am having the exact same issues and I even tried the steps suggested on TM's reply.  Since my Adobe admins are out for the week (so no chance of a ticket), I was hoping someone here would have a solution.

Hey TM below are the details.  I tried your suggestion and had no luck.  The last update I have is from the escalations team and that it was with engineering.

We are also having Ad-Hoc issues but only with some PC's my system works fine and I have the EXACT same settings as other users. I have an HP laptop and they have Lenovo's. I'm guessing there is something strange with a Lenovo driver. We've had some of our Java experts try to take a look at this but their systems all can run Ad-Hoc and we will have to have one of those with a system that won't work give theirs up to IT for a couple of days so they can figure out the errors that are happening trying to download the new version of ad-hoc.

In the mean time i've given analysis workspace to those that can't run ad-hoc. not the same but at least they can do multiple breakdowns of any variable.
