Block Image Request ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
We have a 3rd party security scanner tool that crawls our site. They are filtered out of our data set using our bot rules. However, we are still billed for all of the server calls even though the traffic is flagged as a bot. Is there anyway to turn off the image request so we will not be billed for the server calls it generates?

Re: Product Finding Method ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
You could check...Your eVar setting maybe set to 1st touch, or something in your cart funnel is triggering another product referral to overwrite the order. You could confirm by...Looking at participation or linear order metrics. The number of orders attributed to external natural referrals maybe equal to total orders/revenue for the time period you're looking at.

Re: More orders than carts?? ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
Your Carts is probably set to the scOpen event and maybe configured to fire only when a new cart is created. Carts wouldn't include customers that open a new cart in visit A then return on Visit B and add items to the existing cart then order. Cart Additions maybe a better/closer to orders.

Classification Assistance ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
We are capturing this value in a eVar: {wt-graphic}{pt-t-shirts}{al-ASpot}{ct-backtoschool}{aid-23894765}*We wanted to use Rule Builder to extract the different values within the braces ( {} ) and put them in a classification. *We have written the Regex that can isolate the values. Our problem is that I cannot see a way to take the identified string and assign it as a classification value. Is it possible to populate the "to" section with what the regex is populating?

Thanks, Just a heads up, if you're passing any PII you may want to double check with your legal team and make sure your privacy policy is updated. I had the headache with dealing with my internal legal team when setting this up a few years ago.

Re: Fallout Report Numbers ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
Gigazelle wrote... The fallout report's path must be exactly followed without any pages in between. This is most likely what you're seeing the differences in the other reports. I am not sure if this is a accurate statement. When viewing a fallout report you can see next steps before the specific item (in ad-hoc). This documentation also mentions that "eventually" saw the specific item: http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/reports_fallout.htmlI think this statement would be true ...

You might have some luck looking at your User Agent report. Just google what the the User Agent string is for the Surface to bounce off your list.

Re: Revenue Reporting ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
We had the same issue and identified a bug if you trying to run as an pdf. It worked for us when you change the report format over to Excel. If pdf format is a must have, you can also create a reportlet and dashboard, the bug is only scheduling reports and bookmarks, dashboards work fine. Our ticket is still open for this issue, and it is "with engineering" to fix.

Marketing Channel Processing Rules ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
I accidentally created a marketing channel rule I want to remove. Is there any way to remove it? Just got off the phone with client care and they said there was no way to delete it and my only option would be to clear out the rules in the config. and move to the bottom of the process rules list.

Re: How to Create Metric for Average Time Between Site Entry and Page X ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
The only way to do clean would be to pull in time-stamp and take the time-stamp of page A and subtract from the time-stamp page B. No awesome way to do in the UI. Possibly you could setup a implement at eVar/Prop to capture the time stamp (might get messy). Also you could pull from the raw data if you have a feed setup and could do through sql or tableau.

Kerri Adcock wrote... Hello - I'd like put the country value (Adobe Dimensions > Visitor Profile > Geosegmentation > Countries) in a prop and/or eVar so I can classify it into our custom geographic hierarchy. I've tried doing this via processing rule, but Country is not available. Is this something easy I can hand off to our DTM expert? At first glance, it doesn't look easy to do there either. I've explored the option of using segments and the new Analysis Workspace, but our end users don't have...

Both show up, but the only a few of the canned traffic metrics show up (page views was not one of the metrics that did not show up). All of our events show up in the metrics for real time.

Re: 'Override Last-Touch Channel' - default setting causes completely incorrect marketing channel data ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
No problem, I have been researching a lot lately trying to understand how visits are credited. Maybe you guys can help or offer advice on my question! How can you get an accurate visit count for the channels that are sandwiched between the 1st and last touch? Visit 1 = OrganicVisit 2 = PPCVisit 3 = Email When I pull my channels report, would the PPC show zero visits since it was overrode by the Email channel, or would it show one visit? Other metrics (orders, revenue, etc.) have a work around wi...

Re: 'Override Last-Touch Channel' - default setting causes completely incorrect marketing channel data ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
We currently have them checked to override except for direct and abandon session refresh. If you have this same setting, direct is a % of traffic to the channel. (i.e. when breaking down paid search, one of the referrers will be direct (typed/bookmarked). Good to know when doing analysis on your direct channel, b/c it shorting the actual traffic from the channel and attributing to last touch channel that is set to override. This link my also clarify the usability of the feature: http://blogs.ado...

Ad-Hoc Analysis Not working ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
Ever since the release Ad-Hoc analysis has not worked. I have re-installed Java to ensure I am on the latest version and have launched from the web UI. When you try to run anything it does nothing. It will also not let you close the tool, you have to close via the task manager. Anyone else having the same issue? I have a ticket open, thinking this route would be faster if someone else had the same issue.

Re: Issue with Report Builder and use of Current Data ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
Hey Brian we are running into a similar issue. We are pulling page views by hour for a day and it isn't populating data for the hour field for a some pages. It is also populating data in advance of the current time (i.e. it is 5pm now and it is showing visits for 11pm). Was curious if you ever found any solutions to your issue. Thanks!

Your week zero is probably the first few days at the beginning of the year and is considered week 52 in the prior year. Week 1 in 2015 starts on 1/4/2015, week zero is probably 1/1 thru 1/3. Is the data for week zero look to be partial or 3/7ths of a normal week?

Re: How to use match in segment builder ecarpe15 - Adobe Analytics
larry he wrote... Thank you, Eric. You are right. As you said, the "classification rule builder" can work it out. What does "it goes back 6 months" means? The rule will classify your existing data for the prior 6 six months prior to your creation date and any new data going forward. Anything prior to 6 months you would have to do a manual classification via the browser or FTP upload.

You could always use the classification rule builder to build segments via RegEx in a variable classification. I think it goes back 6 months.
