Activity Map tracking on window

I am trying to track custom Activity Map link clicks, it works fine until a user right clicks on a link and opens it in a NEW WINDOW. Is is reasonable to ask the product team to support activity map link tracking on new window by updating app measurement? Or does the tracking get too complicated?
