Hello Aces,I would like your opinion on using AEM's email service to send emails.I have a requirement to send an email to a user based on certain business rules. I can use either ACS Common Email Service or a Java service to send the email. My question is: Is it ideal to send emails directly from AEM? I’m asking this from a thread pool perspective. There may be a request to trigger up to 500 emails per minute. If I use AEM to send the emails, will it block the thread and impact other activities, such as servicing page requests? If sending emails directly from AEM blocks the thread, what would be the ideal approach to send emails? Should I consider using middleware for this?ThanksNanda

One additional change that content users will observe with 3.8 XML Documentation build on baselines tab is few more labels with images. This was not there in previous build.      With the new release, content users can also apply labels on indirect references like images etc. using the 'Add Labels' option on the baselines tab. Earlier these labels were only limited to the direct references and it was difficult to choose the correct versions of images while creating the baseline using labels.    With this feature, all labels for a specific versions are shown on the baselines tab including those created by default workflows also. Refer the above screenshot and you will notice the labels as 1.0, 1.1 etc  on images. which are not manually created rather created by the 'DAM Metadata Writeback' workflow of AEM.

There is a shortcut option in the web-editor toolbar to let author insert the special characters already. The same can be seen in screenshot below:     These list of characters is configurable here. If you need to add more characters to this then follow the below steps:   Log into AEM and open the CRXDE Lite mode. create symbols.json file at the following location:/apps/fmdita/xmleditor/ (You can copy the default from - /libs/fmdita/clientlibs/clientlibs/xmleditor/symbols.json location) Add the special character definition in the symbols.json file as:{ "label": "Logical Symbols", "items": [ { "name": "≥", "title": "Greater-Than or Equal To" }, { "name": "≤", "title": "Smaller-Than or Equal To" } ] }The structure of the symbols.json file is explained below:• "label": "Logical Symbols": This specifies the category for the special characters. In the snippet, acategory with the name

Hi all, does the path analysis only consider sessions where the user has made at least one further interaction concerning the entry page? So if a user leaves the site from the first page viewed, there is no "path" to track because no further pages are visited. Is this the reason why the views from the first page of the path, in general, are lower?

Hello Team,I am writing Nodejs actions, utility for Adobe IO runtime project. Here, I have kept the mail templates under config folder. My logic has to read the config folder based on input condition. While searcing, I got below details to read the file const templateLoader = new TemplateLoader(path.join(__dirname, '../mail-templates'));  // Check if country template exists        if (fs.existsSync(countryPath)) {            return fs.readFileSync(countryPath, 'utf-8');        } Also, I need to write below mentioned script in package.json fileHello Team, "scripts": {"build": "cp -R src/actions/mail-templates dist/mail-templates" } Note: cp is a unix command. Hi there I have been working under the assumption that 'Is Mobile Device' includes phones and tablets, and that 'Is Mobile Phone' is only phones. Is this correct?  Or are they mutually exclusive? Screenshot for reference  ThanksJoe

We have set up an SPA using next js and rest of the things are working fineonly experience-fragments are not working. When we navigate to experience fragments master.html page, the page loads with all the default components but not the one that we have created mapping for at our end.Our components are visible to drag as well and when we drag it is shown in its master.model.json as well but not on the browser window, due to which we are not able to edit/author any experience fragments.Could anyone here provide any help or any existing documentation how to make experience fragments work for remote SPA Next Js application?

Hi team, How can I delete this folder '/var/acs-commons/mcp/instances' in AEM Cloud instance with cUrl command. Thanks,SD

I understand we need Project ID, Private Key and Client Email. As far as I know these variables should be provided by the app developer. But what about Integration Key?When creating a new mobile application there is a integration key generated by default. So we need to set up the integration key shown in Adobe Campaign inside our app? Like this documentation suggests:

Hi, We're integrating with an external system using a scheduler to make API calls and sync data to AEM under /var/abc/... The client requests a synchronization frequency of 30-60 minutes for approximately 100 nodes within AEMaaCS. Is that acceptable or what are all the factors we need to consider if we are going with shortened frequency? Note: Due to security reasons we cannot go with Client-Side or On-demand calls.

I have to show and hide few fields of the component dialog based on the template in which page is created.for this im triggering clientlibs and making show and hide fields using js (show and hide works fine) but how to get template details to the js to make it work as per my condition?

I faced an issue where jcr:uuid is not generated if we publish a page using manage publication, but not if we publish using quick publish. Upon investigation, we discovered that when we publish using quick publish, "mix:versionable" is added to the jcr:mixinTypes property. As a solution, I am trying to add a replication event handler that will add this "mix:versionable" mixin to the jcr:content node of the page if the property is not present. I am unable to add the mixin as I get an exception "org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.api.CommitFailedException: OakAccess0000: Access denied". Is there any to add this mix:versionable mixin to the node? If there is no way to add the mixin, I will add a custom ID upon page creation but that will require a lot of changes as we have already referenced jcr:uuid for our previous solutions. So, if anyone is aware of how to add this mixin, please provide some insights.

Hello, I have a requirement to unpublish a page from AEM and move that unpublished page to another location. From an author service, I did this, String pagePath = hit.getPath(); replicator.replicate(session, ReplicationActionType.DEACTIVATE, pagePath); // Unpublish the Page pageMoveService.movePages(pageManager, deletedDestinationPath, pagePath, deletedPageTitleSuffix); // Move that page in different location In another Preprocessor, which is written for general page publish/unpublish, String eventType = replicationAction.getType().getName(); String replicationPath = replicationAction.getPath(); if (!eventType.equals("Activate")) { Resource resource = resourceResolver.getResource(replicationPath + "/jcr:content"); // Some business logic } This works fine, but the issue is, when I request to deactivate the page sometimes it's not being Unpublished instantly. That's why the move operation moved the page and I got unexpected data in the preprocessor.   Requirement: I need to

Hi Community, We are currently testing the Destination Selector, but we’ve noticed that selecting a folder in the provided example doesn’t trigger any visible action. We’d like to understand if we are missing something in the process. Additionally, we need a clearer understanding of how the Asset Selector works. When we select an asset, we notice that the URL of the selected asset is not returned in the callback. Could you guide us to identify if there’s a missing configuration or step? This work is part of a proof of concept we are developing for a client in the financial sector. The objective is to integrate their on-premise CMS, hosted in a private network, with a middleware located on a public domain that is whitelisted by Adobe. The goal is to establish a secure channel allowing the CMS to connect to the middleware and retrieve asset information from AEM. Lastly, it would be very helpful if you could provide us with an example of server-side authentication, as
