Getting Started w/ Project App Builder: Tips from a Non-Developer by Adobe Tech Blog Abstract People discover new tools and platforms in a variety of different ways. Maybe you’re the sort of person who likes to keep on top of trends, taking the time to skim each new release to see if it looks exciting. Maybe you’ve moved to another company, and need to get up to speed with their tools and technology quickly. In Anil Vasant Umachigi’s case, it was because he had a problem that needed solving. Anil works for Accent Group, a wholesale distributor of sneakers with more than 500 stores and 20 online platforms. Accent was looking to implement an Adobe marketing tech stack, but there was a slight irritation. Every time he wanted to compare key metrics year-over-year, he’d have to access the previous data in Google Analytics, and check them against current metrics in Adobe Analytics. “This is where I decided to create a custom dashboard which would help organize data in one place, thus givin
Tutorial AEM-Launch Integration by The Digital Marketing Architect Abstract I have had to recently help a customer with the integration of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) with Adobe Launch. If you have been following this blog for a while, you already know that my area of expertise is not precisely AEM, so I had to do the whole process to learn it first. To keep it handy for the future, I thought I would share the experience with all of you. Over the years, I have noticed that, when it comes to technical descriptions, there are two types of people: those who prefer to read it and those who prefer to watch a video. If you prefer videos, then you should watch this series in the Experience League. However, if you are like me and prefer to read the process on one window/screen and apply it on another one, you are in the right place :-) While, conceptually, this may not be the most complex integration you can find between Adobe tools, it is a bit tricky, as you need to play with 4 differe
The Truth about AEM Run Modes by Blogs Osoco Abstract The Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEM) is a very flexible platform. It allows (customer) developers to extend the two main services, author and publish via Java code. In many cases the exact same code needs to run on both services. However, there are use cases where the code should only run on one of them or behave differently. Similar, a different behaviour or configuration should be used in a development environment versus the production environment. AEM provides the concept of run modes. A run mode indicates the type of the service as well as the environment type the service is running in. Therefore mutual exclusive run modes exists for author and publish as well as for dev, stage, and prod. It is important to note that the concept of run modes is not a runtime concept. Following the twelve-factory methodology it has been designed as a deployment and provisioning concept. However, over time some bad pracices spr
AEM Cloud Service - Dynamic Media Clear Scene7 CDN Cache on Asset ReUpload by Sreekanth Choudry Nalabotu Abstract Goal Default Scene7 CDN TTL for an asset url is 10 hours. Deleting an asset uploaded to AEM (synced to Scene7) and uploading another binary with same name, will not serve the respective presets with latest binary on delivery until the previous ones expire in CDN or the cache invalidated using Tools > Assets > CDN Invalidation. Adobe launches Adobe Experience Manager Screens as a Cloud Service by Adobe Blog Abstract As a result of the global pandemic and the resulting lockdowns, brands have spent the past year reimagining customer engagement in physical spaces. While in-store experiences may be changing, customer-obsessed brands see this as an opportunity to improve experiences by connecting online and offline channels, providing a consistent, personalized experience from web to mobile and all the way through to digital signage in physical spaces. At Adobe, enabling brands to provide a seamless customer journey across all channels has been the guiding vision for Adobe Experience Manager Screens. We’re accomplishing this by expanding Adobe’s best-in-class omnichannel content management capabilities to physical spaces. This purpose-built digital signage capability within Adobe Experience Manager is now offered as a cloud native service. Always up to date, the new Adobe Experience Manager Screens as a Cloud Se
Content Fragment Enhancements in AEM as a Cloud Service by Insights Feed Abstract One of the great things about AEMaaCS (AEM as a Cloud Service) has to be the fact that new features by Adobe can, for the most part, be rolled out fast and painlessly. One of my personal favorite features that has come in useful for many client requirements is the ability to store structured data in AEM Content Fragments. Structured Content Fragments were introduced in AEM 6.4 and allow an author to define a data schema, known as a Content Fragment Model, using a tool in the Touch UI and then create assets in the DAM that are based on one of these models to hold the desired data. This is part of Adobe's headless CMS initiative. A simple usage of this feature might be if you want to store addresses of various retail stores for your business. You would first create a Content Fragment Model with the various text fields for Address 1, Address 2, City, State, etc., and then start creating Content Fragments i

Getting Started with Profile Merge Rules A Profile Merge Rule in Adobe Audience Manager (AAM) allows you to choose how or when to stitch a user’s cross device behavior together based on customer authentication. AAM lets you define the rules to bring together profiles from multiple devices of a user, as well as multiple people sharing a common device, and hence lets you target people instead of devices. Profile Merge Rules have a dependency on ID synchronization. Prior to creating a profile merge rule, make sure you have a cross-device data source set up! Once the data source setup is complete, evaluate your use case for creating a Profile Merge Rule. Use cases can be different for each type of industry. A general best practice is to start by looking at the goal(s) of your campaign. Here are some questions to consider when forming the strategy for your Profile Merge Rule: Do you want to focus on personalizin

We need to transpose a large table from lines to columns. Within ACS it was not possible. Therefore we use our integrator to do this work for the ACS and return the result on another table in the ACS database. We still had to use Azure Function for the response time to be faster, in less than 1 minute, which is the timeout timeout of the ExternalApi .
ACC: We can export the results of the queries and workflows on any screen. Just load the right mouse button.ACS: To be able to download the result of a query of some workflow is a very bureaucratic process. You have to register a public key, add on the ACS SFTP and so on. Not at all functional. In the ACC, we have the Query Editor. And from there we can do consultations without having to do WKFS. And we can still extract the results into files.I prefer the ACC much more than the ACS! In the ACC we have many more resources for developers. This is my opinion. Because I've worked with both.

hi, While we understand the importance and benifits that Adobe experience cloud ecosystem brings to the customer, some of them have already embarked into other platforms like Salesforce DMP & marketing cloud.Would like to know if it is even possible to leverage the segments created in Salesforce DMP in Adobe Target for personalization. Please share some insights on how this could be achieved with detailed steps. Thanks
Provides more personalization content in the sendEvent resolved promise, including Adobe Target response tokens. When the sendEvent command is executed, a promise is returned, which is eventually resolved with a result object containing information received from the server. This result object includes a property named decisions. This decisions property has been deprecated. A new property, propositions, has been added. This new property provides customers with access to more personalization content, including response tokens. More documentation will be available soon. Read more ➡️➡️ https://adobe.ly/3l2r3Mp

Hi,We are developing a plug-in for Rich Text Editor (RTE) Component. The plug-in will insert a <svg> tag (to display images for bullet points). The issue is that, when we close the plug-in after entering necessary content, the <svg> tag is present in RTE, but on final closure of the RTE, the <svg> tag gets removed. Is there a way to enable it for RTE, so that RTE does not remove it?Platform - AEM 6.3 (so TouchUI)Thanks in advance.Regards,Jagan K
AEM Content Fragments: An Introduction by Exadel Abstract This article is an introduction to a series of posts about using AEM content fragments (CF) in real life and all the potential problems you might encounter in doing so. I won’t dive too deep into the theory around CF, since Adobe’s documentation is quite exhaustive. I’ll point out some very basic info, and in further articles, we will take a look at practical applications. What is Content Fragment in AEM? Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Content Fragments (CF) allow us to manage page-independent content. They help us prepare content for use in multiple locations/over multiple channels. These are text-based editorial content that may include some structured data elements that are considered pure content without design or layout information. Content Fragments are intended to be used and reused across channels. Usage Highly-structured data-entry/form-based content Long-form editorial content (multi-line elements) Content managed o
Adobe Experience Platform Identity Graph is the Foundation for the Unified Profile by Priyanka Sharma Abstract This article provides conceptual and deployment information about how we are unifying fragmented identities in systems of interaction through Adobe Experience Platform identity services. Improving experience has become a ubiquitous business strategy. Great experiences are the new currency of brand loyalty. Consumers expect more personalized and contextual experiences. However, in Adobe’s 2019 Consumer Content Survey, 82% of consumers say they’ve received content from brands that isn’t personalized, and 38% of consumers say this happens constantly or frequently. Delightful consumer experiences that incite return engagement(s) tend to have a common denominator: The journey is frictionless between the various channel and device touchpoints. Consider Forrester Group’s earlier prediction — the average consumer will have 13 or more touchpoints with a brand before a conversion ev
