If, perchance, you have selected SAVE or hit CTRL+SAVE on your keyboard and proceeded to wait MUCH longer than you would prefer for Adobe Analytics to present you with the dialogue box to actually CLICK the button to SAVE the most recent update you made to your Workspace. Here is a simple workaround:Instead, simply select Share > Share ProjectThen, you can make any additional updates, selections on that screen, and then click the UPDATE button, and voilà, your Workspace project has been SAVED!!!No more waiting, and no more frustrations.
Asset Selector — Adobe Experience Manager(AEM) | Digital Asset Management by Albinsblog Abstract Asset selector lets you search, filter, and browse the DAM assets. Asset selector is available at https://[aem_server]:[port]/aem/assetpicker.html. You can fetch the metadata of your selected assets using the asset selector. You can launch it with supported request parameters, such as asset type (image, video, text) and selection mode (single or multiple selections). These parameters set the context of the asset selector for a particular search instance and remain intact throughout the selection. Some of the important request parameters: mode — single, multiple root - root folder for the asset selector.e.g /content/dam/test viewmode — search assettype — Images, documents, multimedia, archives mimetype - MIME type(e.g png) Sample URL — http://localhost:4502/aem/assetpicker.html?mode=multiple&root=/content/dam/test&mimetype=*png The asset selector uses the HTML5 Window.postMessage

Original article Feature Flags or Feature Toggle is a common practice used by developers. It allows to deploy specific functionalities in an incremental manner and only enable them when needed. In the tagging world feature flags is a little-known concept. Most of the time a standard tagging release will consist of creating the tag, testing it with the tag management system dev endpoint then publishing it to production. This means that sometimes the release timing is crucial as it needs literally to be done at the same time as the new platform feature has been released to production so it does not impact user experience. What are feature flags? Feature flags are a development concept that allows to wrap a functionality inside an if condition that checks a specific variable value. This variable is usually a Boolean, so the possible values are either true for enable my feature or false for disable my feature. This allows the development team to deploy
5 key principles for a successful content migration by Shawnn Guthrie Abstract Digital transformation journeys can be exciting for enterprise organizations looking to evolve their digital ecosystems. But they can also feel daunting. Though digital transformation promises to bring new capabilities for delivering more effective and engaging experiences to customers, the process can also disrupt every part of a business with the added pressure that everything should operate normally. The prospect of moving hundreds of thousands of digital objects critical to your business can create anxiety for many marketing leaders about how to get started. For organizations that manage large amounts of content, transformation is especially intimidating because that content needs to maintain its integrity while it moves out of legacy systems into new platforms. Digital transformation projects that include implementing a more advanced content management system (CMS) like Adobe Experience Manager will

AEMaaCS - Authoring - Component Readme as help document by Arun Patidar Abstract AEM Components - Markdown Documentation The Granite UI widget fieldDescription property is used to add helpful tooltips to your dialog fields but in some cases, you might need to add details documentation about the component, whether it’s technical or for Authoring instructions. Then you may use dialogs helpPath property to link component document to the dialog, the path could be github page or confluence page or any other page. For instance core components uses adobe documents as help document for the component, example Core Image component jcr:title="Image" sling:resourceType="cq/gui/components/authoring/dialog" helpPath="https://www.adobe.com/go/aem_cmp_image_v3" Wondering if the this documentation can be part of AEM or dialog itself. All you need to know about Adobe Client Data Layer by Stories by Jaemi Bremner on Medium Abstract All you need to know about Adobe Client Data Layer What is Adobe Client Data Layer A data layer in general consists of a JavaScript client side event driven data store that can be used on webpages, to collect data about what the visitors experience on the web page & to communicate this data to digital analytics and reporting servers(e.g. Adobe analytics or Adobe target) What does it do? The Adobe client data layer is a java script store for data and events happening on a page within the scope of a request. It reduce the effort to instrument websites by providing a standardized method to expose and access any kind of data for any script. It provides API to, 1) Register data that is to be merged into the data layer state 2) Trigger events that relate to the data stored in the data layer 3) Get the current data layer state of all merged data 4) Register listeners that are called for

Hi Team, I have the below scenario - In my rewrite rules I have written the below sequence - 1. RewriteRule ^/$ /content/xyz/us/en/home-page.html [R=301,L] As seen the above redirect points the root request to home-page.html 2. RewriteRule ^/content/xyz/us/en/(.*)$ /$1 [NE,L,R=301] As seen here we are shortening the URL to eliminate /content/xyz/us/en from the request URL 3. RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ /content/xyz/us/en/$1 [NC,PT,L] This rewrite is being written to append the URL back again and forward to publish The above redirects are working fine for URL shortening on browser and then forwarding the complete path to publish. 4. The Vhost file contains the following - <IfModule disp_apache2.c> # Enabled to allow rewrites to take affect and not be ignored by the dispatcher module DispatcherUseProcessedURL On # Default setting (0) to allow all errors to come from the aem instance DispatcherPassError 1</IfModu

Author: Sreenivas B This article will help you to do any post processing activity on copy/paste of an asset/page — here, I explain one of the important use cases which I have experienced, for which I needed this. When we integrate AEM with any cloud solution (Adobe or third party) for synchronizing assets or pages, we use some kind of reference ID for linking the content between AEM and the cloud service. For example, in the case of exporting an Experience Fragment to Adobe Target, we use Offer ID for linking the AEM XF and the corresponding offer in Adobe Target for further synchronization or updates to the offer. We usually save this reference ID in the content or metadata node of the page/asset. Now, the problem is, what if I copy/paste the asset/page in AEM for reuse? The metadata or properties also get pasted in the newly created page/asset. Now we have two assets/pages with same reference ID, which is problematic while synchronizing. We can solve this by removing the refere
Authors: Praveen Penupati, Himanshu Pathak AEM integrated with Adobe Target makes life easier for content creators and marketers. They both work in the tool of their choice and the integration allows them to focus on what they do best independently. Managing personalization for a multi-lingual brand is, however, still a big challenge. Wouldn’t it be dreamy if there was a trick to centralize multi-lingual personalization? How AEM and Target work together By Integrating Adobe Experience Manager with Adobe Target, one can harvest the power of AEM capabilities of cross channel’s content delivery, multi-language site capability and responsive behaviour, with the intelligence of Adobe Target which can be used to serve relevant content to the relevant customer. AEM and Adobe Target combined to facilitate the right customer with the right content in right language. Experience Fragments, created in AEM can be exported to Adobe Target as HTML or JSON. They can then be used as offers in T
Hi, I am struggling to manipulate an address field to remove the country code, format lines breaks and add the country name. The text I am using is in the format: "First Line / Second Line / Third Line / IE" var vAddress;vAddress = addresstest.rawValue ;vAddress = vAddress.substring(0,vAddress.length-3) ;vAddress = vAddress.replace(/ \/ /g, "\n");addresstest.rawValue = vAddress+"\n"+masterHeader.masterHeaderLeft.country.rawValue ; Output is : "First Line Second LineThird Line /Irel" I think the issue is with the final line but when I tested appending text on each line, the output was: "First Line Second LineThird Line IE lin line 2 line 3 lin line 2 line 3" So there is some kind of loop being created. I have also tried: addresstest.rawValue = addresstest.rawValue+"\n"+masterHeader.masterHeaderLeft.country.rawValue ; Which then adds the country line twice so the issue isn't isolated to it being a variable. Does an
Hi, I'm implement a custom provider (com.adobe.granite.auth.oauth.Provider), and i want save the avatarUrl of user in profile. I check the node profile under user and the resourceType is cq/security/components/profile When user is created, i can save email, name, id, but if i put other field such 'picture', 'photo', 'avatarURL' this field is ignored. Anyone know what properties i can save on this resourceType? I'm based in this example https://github.com/techforum-repo/aem-bundles/blob/master/linkedin-oauth-provider/src/main/java/com/core/oauth/linkedin/LinkedinOAuth2ProviderImpl.java Thanks
