It would be great if Workfront added to the roadmap (maybe as part of the transition to Adobe Experience League/Admin Console) an alternative to the .cmd extension used for SSO users. Our network blocks the use of .cmd extensions in browsers for regular SSO users. This is usually not an issue since most SSO connections do not use the .cmd or provide alternative ACS URLs due to the security risks presented by .cmd extension being allowed in a browser. Our team has reached out to Workfront support on this already and there is no current alternative so we hope this innovation lab idea will help start the process. Here are links to the previous support cases for reference:Case: 00308693 (workfront.com)Case: 00312618 (workfront.com)
The current Adobe CC & Photoshop Extension only allows users to add documents to tasks (and issues). We prefer working from the project level and lose out on core functionality.
Description -Currently, the segments and metrics available in the Annotation Builder are only those that are created by the organization. They do not include segments and metrics that are managed by Adobe (e.g. the 'All Visits' segment, or the 'Weighted Bounce Rate' metric). Why is this feature important to you -Organizations that use Adobe's segment and metric definitions will not be able to have Annotations applied to them, as these segments and metrics are not available in the Annotation Builder How would you like the feature to work -Make Adobe-managed segments and metrics available in the Annotation Builder.
I use folders to organize thousands of offers. I don't always remember what folder a piece of content is in.The search only works within the directory you are currently in - I need for search to search the entire library of offers. Without that function, it is pretty worthless. Thanks.
Within the Calendars area of Workfront, when “Gantt” is the selected view, the vertical scroll bar is always visible, but in order to access the horizontal scroll bar, a user has to scroll to the bottom of the calendar window which often takes the items/days/weeks being looked at out of view. This is not user friendly. It would be helpful if the horizontal scroll bar was locked in place, so both scroll bars are always visible without losing site of the work/calendar items/dates being viewed
We are looking into Workspace reports’ usage. The goal is to have visits or pageviews of each report (Dashboard) we have in Workspace in order to classify them by importance and then delete the ones that are not used. This would be very useful for reporting teams in the long term.
Prevent issues/requests from being converted into tasks/projects:I would love for a setting that completely prevents users from converting certain request types (ones I select as an admin, not all requests) into projects? Despite our attempts to educate users on specific work processes, some users convert requests into projects, even though they are to be managed only as requests.Add option to lock issues from editing after they are converted to task/project:Our users have a habit that's hard to break in which they will continue to update an Issue that's been converted to a Project, rather than update the Project. They just don't realize the difference between the two objects, and I realize part of it is ongoing training even though this has been communicated over and over. I know that in Project Preferences > Tasks & Issues there is an option to delete an issue once it's been converted to a project but we do not want to have the original issue deleted. Could we
Description - On the Projects page, the user should be able to filter the projects for any tags and have the full list be relevant to the chosen values, instead of a combination of all pinned, and then the results afterward. Why is this feature important to you - I have any number of projects at the top of my list that I have pinned for ease of use when I come into Adobe Analytics, and requiring me to scroll past them every time I go to filter for a report I need to open is frustrating and a productivity killer. How would you like the feature to work - Upon entering the first tag, the ENTIRE LIST of projects is filtered according to the value listed in the TAGS.Current Behavior - All favorite/pinned projects remain visible at the top of my results list, regardless of the tags I have entered into my filter, and then I am forced to scroll past my pinned projects to find the results I am filtering to find. EDIT: Aside from all this, I really do appreciate all of the changes that have b
We should be able to copy documents- moving documents is helpful but the ability to copy could save our team loads of time. We have the ability to copy/duplicate projects, tasks, programs, reports etc. not sure why documents are not a part of that
Description - Adobe provided playground environment for developers and admins to practice skills learned throughout training. Why is this feature important to you - While the examples provided during training cover the basic skills necessary to operate within the platform, those are based on the OTB offerings. A playground environment for training would allow a safe space for practice outside of training especially for those of us whose Prod environments are highly customized. How would you like the feature to work - It wouldn't need to be a direct copy of each users' Prod environment, rather a playground environment which you can use for all trainings and always have available for further practice outside of training.Current Behaviour - Currently our account has a QA environment which is doubling as a playground.
Documents uploaded to a task, request or issue can be modified by multiple users with access. However we are only able to report on the last change. We are interested in tracking the name changes of a document in this particular case although this idea could be expanded to other properties as well. It would be helpful to have the ability to report on every change made to the document and not just the last one. I think this logic would be helpful for other areas of the product. We could have a list of usernames, date of change, previous value, new value, etc.
It is very often when the legend part of the visualization requires manual edit for making the chart look cleaner and easier to read. It would be very helpful to add a new setting that would allow to not include Metrics and Metric Filters (column names) in the legend labels. This is how it looks when a metric is filtered by dimension, segment, date range or their combination. The legend becomes too heavy that is especially critical for dashboards. This is a desirable way of how the legend should be displayed that today requires manual update of each label. Here is how that new setting could look in the settings popup.
Being able to set labels in our visualizations is great, we can immediately see where the label is going and how it will look... but the problem comes when the freeform table has the slightest change (like the dimension breakdown, which doesn't impact the columns), forces the labels to re-populate with the default value. Let's take a simple example. I create a freeform table with Referrer Instances at the top, and that broken down into columns by Referrer Type. Then I use Day as my dimension. When I visualize this, what do I get:Referrer Instances [Referrer Type: Search Engines]Referrer Instances [Referrer Type: Typed/Bookmarked]Referrer Instances [Referrer Type: Social Networks]Referrer Instances [Referrer Type: Other Websites]Since I am going to label my visualization and add a description of what this data is, I don't need it repeated in this fashion all through the legend labels. I want them to be clean, not this ugly version: So here is
It would be helpful to see achievements in the user profile update feed such as completion of tasks and requests as well as proof decisions.
It would be very helpful to have an interactive filter (magnifier) at top of report list on report screen rather than having to create a filter for every search term when looking for a specific report or key word
It would be helpful if we could attach emails to Updates because they would show the flow of the conversations. Having to add them under Documents loses the conversation thread.
First, I'm aware there's a "Completion Mode" for Project Settings that you can set to "Automatic" so that a Project's status changes to Complete when all tasks are done. But unfortunately, by default it is always "Manual" unless you apply a template (which we don't always use since projects vary sometimes)... It would be wonderful if we can set the default to ALL new projects to always be "Automatic". And not just upon Completion, but it would be great if a Project's status also automatically updates to "In Progress" as soon as a task on the project is started. I was told be a representative that this feature does not exist at all, so it would be great to have this setting. This would help so much to keep Projects current, since at the moment Admins have to manually change the project status when team members start on their tasks and they can't always do it immediately.
Currently, if SSO is enabled within Workfront Proof, system administrators lose the ability to log in as other users for troubleshooting and auditing. We would like to enbable SSO in Proof, but have not because of this downfall. Would like to see this enabled like it is within the Workfront interface.
Idea lab still has items from Classic that are no longer relevant. It also has lots of duplicate or near duplicate ideas. If you have 10 ideas that are the same with 300 points each vs. one idea with 3,000 points, that's a HUGE difference. Maybe create an Archive section for the old stuff or non-relevant stuff and then combine duplicates (and their points). Now there's an idea! That being said, when you have items that are delivered with only 20 points and then items not under consideration that have 500 points, it erodes the credibility of the vote system. People tend to give up on it knowing their idea won't get done even they garner a lot of votes.
Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) Summary: DAM Librarians want to be able to multi-select images with Smart tags, and click Manage Tags, to remove/edit Smart tags in bulk. When I am working in a report in Classic WF, I am able to select a single item from the report (via the check box), select Edit , then jump to the bottom of the pop-up form and add a comment. Currently, I CAN NO LONGER do this in WF New Experience. In the New Experience, if I am working in a report and I select a single Item to edit, the outcome is NOT the same as before. I DO NOT have the option to add a comment any more. Please note that if I select more than 1 Item on the report (ie Bulk Edit), the pop-up box that displays is the Classic WF look / feel and the Comment box is available for use (at least for right now).Workfront Support provided the following response when I inquired why I no longer have the ability to do something that I used to.I was able to confirm that with the New Workfront Experience, the functionality of the Comment Section has been removed as overall there was very low usage and as the Comment section is to essentially post an update to the update stream, this c
All users, regardless of license type, should not be able to see each others requests (Requests > All Requests tab). I don't want even my Plan users to be able to see each others requests since some of our requests are sensitive. Anyone who has access to the project that a request queue's requests go to can see everyone's requests from those that have the same access to submit a request. Just because I need everyone to be able to SUBMIT a request doesn't mean I want them to SEE everyone's requests that have been submitted into that queue! WF, please change this!
It would be helpful to see a few metrics when looking at the backlog:Total Number of StoriesTotal number of estimated points (the only way to currently get this is to manually scroll through the backlog and add these up)Number of stories with no estimateNumber of stories marked "ready"I am sure there are more but these would be very helpful when managing the backlog.
It would be helpful if the Filter and View Options said the Actual Filter Name instead of Report Default because that tells the user nothing about the filter that is applied. Same for Review View.
I would like to see Filter/View/Group when I do a hover-over. This saves a lot of time whne there are lots of filters/views.
