Adobe Target

Hey Target practitioners, we recently shipped two new popularity-based criteria in Adobe Target Recommendations: Most Viewed by Profile Attribute and Top Sellers by Profile Attribute. In this post I want to walk through what these criteria do, how they differ from the existing popularity options, what kinds of personalization scenarios they make possible and finally an end-to-end example showing how this feature can be used.A short video walkthrough of the complete setup is available here: Feature Walkthrough VideoWhat was already there What is new Use cases Setting it up: an end-to-end example DocumentationWhat was already thereTarget already provided several popularity-based criteria covering two signals (most viewed and top sellers) across three scopes:  Most Viewed Top Sellers Across the site Most Viewed Across the Site Top Sellers Across the Site By item category Most Viewed by Category Top Sellers by Category By item attribute Most Viewed by Item Attribute Top

We are not utilizing profile scrips and want to understand if there are certain fundamental profiles scrips that we should consider? Would love to know what are some basic scripts that have great utility that others are using!

Hello,For my XT Activity in Target I assigned the Goal Metric to a calculated metric created in Analytics. When I use the A4T panel in Analytics conversions are always 0. When I view Reports in Target we see the conversionsAre calculated metrics unable to be used in A4T?Thank you

Hi everyone,I'm currently facing an issue with an Adobe Target activity and wanted to check if anyone has come across something similar. The activity is working as expected in the Development environment, but it is not delivering after moving the library build to Production. We have verified that the correct build has been published to Production. What makes this a bit confusing is that the issue is happening only for one market property. The other market properties are working fine with their respective Production builds.Has anyone faced a similar issue where an activity works in Development but does not deliver in Production for a specific property? Are there any additional configurations or checks that we should look into?

I am passing pageTitle to Adobe Target and have created a profile script to save the value as a profile attribute. For testing, I would like to create a single XT activity with three experiences:Experience A → profile.pageTitle = Page 1 → Banner AExperience B → profile.pageTitle = Page 2 → Banner BExperience C → profile.pageTitle = Page 3 → Banner CCan XT audiences use this profile attribute to determine which experience should be displayed?More importantly, will the profile script value be available for audience qualification on the same Target request in which pageTitle is first passed, or will it only be available from the subsequent request/page view?Is this a recommended way to validate that the profile script is functioning correctly?

Hi Community,Our organization is migrating from Adobe Analytics (AA) to Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and most of the CJA implementation is complete. We now want to send Adobe Target data into CJA, but when configuring an activity, Customer Journey Analytics doesn’t appear as an available reporting source.I’m an admin for both Target and CJA. Could someone explain what’s required to enable CJA as a reporting source in Target, including any prerequisites or configuration steps I may have missed? Thanks in advance!Currently I am planning add Adobe Target as a service in the datastream. Are there any other steps I need to do to get CJA reporting source

Hi not sure this is the right place for it but the Target MCP has a bug that flips VEC tests to Form tests when adding secondary goals. Below is summary of issue from Claude. EnvironmentConnector: Adobe Target MCP (https://targetmcp.adobe.io/mcp), used from Claude Activity type: A/B (manual), created in the Visual Experience Composer, server-side decisioning Date observed: 14 October 2026Issue 1: adding secondary metrics flips a VEC activity to form-basedSteps to reproduce:Create a VEC A/B activity, through the UI or create_vec_activity. get_activity returns experienceEditorType: "visual". Call update_activity with a metrics array containing the primary metric (metricLocalId: xx, conversion: true) and one additional metric (metricLocalId: xxx, conversion: false, mbox success event). The tool’s response shows experienceEditorType: "visual". Call get_activity again about 1 second later.Expected: the activity remains visual and opens in the VEC.Actual: modifiedAt advances by about 1 s wit

I’m setting up Recommendations for the first time using this as reference: How Do I Implement Recommendations Activities? | Adobe Target but also many other pages of instructions.I understand that to build the list in the Catalog, I can use Feeds or the Recommendations API. There is a third option, Delivery API, that I haven’t explored. I tested using the Recommendations API and it worked. I was able to pass an entity.I’m not clear about this step (from the above page): 3. Pass behavioral information and contextIn Launch (aka Data Collection) I set up a Web SDK Variable and Rule that sets various entity attributes such as entity.id, entity.name, entity.categoryID, and so on. I can see this data on the interact payload and assume it’s being passed to Target. More inf here: Send parameters - Migrate Target from at.js 2.x to Web SDK | Adobe TargetWhat is the purpose of passing Target params? Is it to inform Target about visitor behaviour? Is this a different thing than adding entities to

I’m in the midst of setting up Target Recommendations. We do not have an ecommerce site. Our use case is to recommend articles that visitors might want to read based on previous behaviours (e.g. previously viewed article categories, etc).I have reviewed the steps to set up the Catalog, i.e. Feeds, and currently working on that. This post is about the next step - Capturing user behaviour. I am using these instructions:How Do I Implement Recommendations Activities? | Adobe TargetHow Do I Use Adobe Analytics with Target Recommendations? | Adobe Targetproducts | Adobe AnalyticsFrom reviewing these and other instructions, I believe that I need to set up the products variable. We are using Wen SDK.Questions:I believe I need to add something to the schema to receive information about articles that visitors are reading. Which Field Group do I need to use?Commerce Details (Description: Commerce data such as product information (SKU, name, quantity), and standard cart operations (order, checkout

Does the Target Feeds should also include products which are out of stock?

A quick question: is there a baseline for comparison for click through rate?

I created an A/B Test activity in Adobe Target and completed the required configurations and integrations. The activity is active and configured with Experience A and Experience B.However, while testing the activity, both experiences are displaying the same content on the page, even though I modified the content for each experience separately using the Visual Experience Composer (VEC) and saved the changes.Expected: Experience A and Experience B should display their respective modified content.Actual: Both experiences display the same content.Could anyone help me understand what configuration or implementation might be causing this behavior and how I can troubleshoot it?

I wanted to check if anyone has experience using data exported from BigQuery and making it available in Adobe Target for audience segmentation. One approach I'm already familiar with is Customer Attribute Service, and we currently have an active CRM data ingestion process feeding Adobe Target through Customer Attributes. My question is:Can I create an additional Customer Attributes data source and upload another dataset (originating from BigQuery)? If yes, can I use the same alias ID / customer ID namespace that is already being used by the existing Customer Attributes integration? Are there any limitations or best practices when multiple Customer Attributes data sources are linked to the same visitor/profile identifier? Alternatively, has anyone implemented a different approach to bring BigQuery-derived attributes into Adobe Target profiles for segmentation?Thank you

If we have enterprise license for Adobe Target under a single IMS Org, how do I use distinct audiences in Target for multiple sites, where one site will be using Audiences from AEP while another needs to be use Audiences based out of Marketo.E.g. If I have two websitesSite A with AEP and RTCDP (Websdk)Site B with Marketo and not AEP or RTCDP (At.js)How can I use Adobe Target Enterprise under the single IMS org for AB testing on both Site A and Site B using distinct audiences from AEP for site A, and Marketo Audiences from site B?

What is the best way to deliver an AEM Form via an Experience Fragment into Adobe Target for personalization? What specific client library or CSS requirements are needed so the form renders and submits correctly?

A form based activity was created which was available in the network response call but not on my website  when I was using apply propositions . My apply propositions was implemented in the following manner : - To make that available on the website , I have to explicitly add the following custom codevar prop = event.propositions.find(  p => p.scope === "appinstall-popup-mbox");document.querySelector(  "#abc-membership > section > div > div").innerHTML =  prop.items[0].data. Content; Is there any optimal way to do it or the reason why a seperate custom code is required.

I know that Target with Web SDK uses Identity Map in order to map user sessions from different devices (if user logged-in).Is there any way to preview user identities in Target? Target API does  not return identities

We are running an AB test to test updated Headline copy on a landing page. We are testing 4 variants (including control) and have manually set the allocation to 25% to each. I understand that audiences will never exactly match the allocated manual distribution, however in our latest AB test one variant is seeing a significant misallocated. Some background:Allocation manually set to 25% This is an AB test for updated headline copy, no technical or component changes and no difference in how the variants were set up. This is the ONLY test active on the site, there is no collision with other tests There is no audience or segment applied: all users are eligible The gap is present for the duration of the experiment (so its not a one time blip) I am struggling to determine what would cause this and if invalidates the results of the test. Has anyone experienced something similar? How can we avoid in the future or prevent?

I want to show a popup to users who are trying to leave my website and I referred to this tutorial. Problem is, I am not seeing option to enter “Custom Code” or Compose. I haven’t worked in Target in last few years and UI has changed quite a lot. Can anyone please provide guidance here?  https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/target-experience-templates/tree/master/lightbox-exit-intent
