Adobe Marketo Engage General

Description:The Upcoming Campaigns panel in Marketo Sales Insights (shown in the Salesforce contact view) lists scheduled email campaigns for the next 30 days. It also says these are "not limited to qualified leads."Problem:Our Marketo instance supports multiple businesses and brands. Sales reps see campaigns from other businesses in the panel and assume the contact is about to receive those emails. This causes confusion and unnecessary escalations. Reps think the contact is being mis-messaged, when in fact the contact doesn't qualify for those campaigns.Requested enhancement:Add an admin setting or user toggle, such as "Show only campaigns this lead qualifies for", that filters Upcoming Campaigns to campaigns whose smart list and filters the lead actually meets. If full qualification evaluation isn't feasible, allow admins to filter the panel by workspace, program channel, or tag, so each business sees only its own campaigns.

Removing the background from a car is usually simple. A coffee mug can be even easier. But isolating a person with curly hair against a detailed background can quickly become one of the most time-consuming parts of photo editing.Hair is difficult because it contains thousands of individual strands. Some strands are clearly visible, while others are thin, soft, or partly transparent. Curly hair can be even more challenging because the strands move in different directions and often blend into the background.Fortunately, Photoshop now offers several tools that make hair selection much easier. By combining automatic selection features with careful manual adjustments, you can create a natural-looking result without manually tracing every strand.Start With Select SubjectFor many portrait projects, Select > Subject is a useful starting point. Photoshop automatically analyzes the image and tries to identify the main person or object. When the subject is clearly separated from the background

I was recently blocked from sending an email due to one of the URLs in a button being too long, and not adhering to Marketo’s URL shortener. Because there was no error message that would have alerted me to the cause of this email not sending, I spent a lot of time (and tokens) trying to diagnose the root cause.  In Marketo Engage, erroneous email components should clearly display the error that will cause the email to not send or be delivered, so the editor can resolve the issue.

When you want to set values for a picklist field in Admin you have to do them 1x1 In Forms with the “Advanced Editor” option we can paste in values We need this in field admin too

To provide context for AI skills and callable agents within Marketo, it would be beneficial to be able to import documents in Word/Google Doc or Excel/Google Sheets, PDF, Slides/Powerpoint to provide the Adobe agent skills with context to operate, beyond the current MD file format that is available.  Documents that can be uploaded could be:Lifecycle definitions Picklist values required for CRM sync validation rules Instructions for how program templates get customized in “create program” use cases. This idea will enable marketers and ops to provide context to agents in a more user-friendly UX and low-code format.

Marketo Engage users who have significant investment in email assets build in the legacy email designer need a “push button” way to convert old email assets to the format used by the new email designer.  Adoption of the New Email Builder is being hampered because New Email Designer assets are fundamentally different asset types, and switching to the new email editor for organizations that have significant investments in nurture programs are akin to doing a full Marketing Automation migration, which is not to be desired.

When custom objects get data transmitted initially, this is “Added to Object” activity that gets logged; however, there was times where this information then gets updated; such as status changes or watch times updated. There are triggers for “Custom Object is updated” however, since update activities are not logged in the Activity Log, then trigger tokens get skipped and logic flows get skipped. I have this case E-002408984 from a Marketo program that I was trying to create logic on Samples orders and to create an interesting moment. If you are added to Sample Object as status shipped, then pull trigger tokens for PN, Qty and ship date into an interesting moment. I also added if Sample object is updated, status changes to shipped, then pull trigger tokens for PN, Qty and ship date into an interesting moment; however, these were failing anytime “updates” were done on a prospect. Sample items can come in daily as “processing” and then next API call can be updated as ‘shipped’ hence why I

SUMMARYMake open tracking a per recipient decision driven by a person field, evaluated at send time, instead of an asset level setting. One email asset would then serve both consenting and non consenting recipients, and native Opened Email activity would still be generated for the consenting recipients only.TODAYThe only control over the open pixel is the asset level flag isOpenTrackingDisabled, exposed as the "Disable Open Tracking" checkbox in Email Settings and on the Emails Asset REST API. It is all or nothing for the asset.Adobe's own CNIL guidance therefore instructs customers to build two variants of every email, one tracked and one untracked, plus a Smart Campaign Choice step on a consent field to route recipients between them. Adobe Support has confirmed this is the only supported approach.Setting isOpenTrackingDisabled to true suppresses the pixel for every recipient of that asset, and Opened Email is a system activity that cannot be written back through the REST API, so ther

When using the filter “Member of Program” in a smart campaign, the dropdown shows all program statuses. It would be much more useful if it only displayed the Program Statuses for the channel of the selected program. I can’t think of a reason why when you’ve chosen a specific program, filtering on statuses not tied to the program’s channel would be needed.

Version 1 of the callable agent functionality is very cool.   It would be great as a follow to create a visual agent builder (think “drag & drop” or using the “journey metaphor”) that can be used natively inside of Marketo, similar to tools like n8n, and enable an “callable agent journey” to be able to interact with other agents in the system, in the same way that Marketo smart campaigns can engage with executable campaigns.

I love the functionality that you have enabled with callable agents and the webhook (future flow step) application.  What I would like to see as a next step is the ability for agents to execute other functions in Marketo beyond sending back return attributes to populate fields.  Here are some recommendations for capabilities to add to callable agents:Add to List Insert/Upsert on lead database fields across objects (Program Member, Marketo Custom Object)  Change Program Status Add/Update to Salesforce Campaign. Conditional logic for change data value (rather than merely send back responses)

Current behavior allows an invalid, nonexistent, or blank Program Name value to be treated as "Is Any" rather than returning no results or generating an error. In my example, I have a list of program names provided to me by a team member. I put it in the Member of Program is and pasted them all in along with a constraint of status = Event > Registered. The smart list gave me thousands of results. In reality, none of those programs I put in the Member of Program criteria was even valid. So why would it show me any results? This behavior is counterintuitive and creates a significant risk for audience selection, reporting accuracy, and operational decision-making. If a user enters an invalid Program Name, the Smart List appears to function correctly while silently broadening the audience. As a result, configuration errors can go undetected and may lead to unintended campaign execution or inaccurate reporting. From a product usability and data integrity perspective, an invalid filter valu

SUMMARYTwo related asks, the second building on the first:1. An email level or template level switch that disables click tracking for every link in an email at once, equivalent to isOpenTrackingDisabled for the open pixel.2. Allow that decision to reference a person field, so link rewriting is suppressed per recipient at send time rather than fixed per asset.TODAYOpting a link out of click tracking is a per link operation only. It requires either unticking "Track Link" on each individual anchor in the Email Designer, or adding the mktNoTrack class to each anchor in the HTML. Adobe Support has confirmed there is no email level, template level or REST API setting that disables click tracking for all links at once, and that no such capability is on a published roadmap.WHY THIS MATTERSUnder the CNIL recommendation applicable since 14 April 2026, and the Italian Garante deadline of 28 October 2026, click measurement for campaign performance purposes requires consent in the same way open mea

Can we get an API endpoint to update multiple tokens on a program or folder at once?At the moment a single API request needs to be made to update each token 1x1 Looking at the example in the image 20+ individual API requests need to be made to update all the tokens used in the program API call efficiency is important since we have a limited daily API quota

Currently, the REST API only facilitates running a batch campaign immediately or once at some time in the future: https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/assets/smart-campaigns/#batch   This idea proposes that the schedule request be modified to allow setting of a recurring schedule for the batch campaign, as can currently be done with the GUI as shown in the attached image.

A way to bulk unpublish or publish Marketo emails to MSI would be very useful. I see similar ideas over 12 years old, so creating a new idea here. I am trying to clean up MSI folders for our SFDC users. I have over 125 emails that I need to unpublish and i need to do the unpublishing manually, one-by-one. Would be great if Marketo would let me bulk check emails to publish or un-publish.

I think the new “Assets” Tab now looks much nicer than the classic view.Having said that, I do miss the old icons that showed whether the trigger campaigns were activated versus not. It was also helpful for the batch ones to see which ones are actively scheduled, previously ran, never ran, etc. Food for thought!

While it is currently possible to select multiple assets within the UI, the available filters do not provide an option to view assets located exclusively in archived folders. At present, users can only choose to include archived folders in their search results, which means archived and active assets are returned together. It would be valuable to have the ability to filter for archived folders only.Use CaseDuring instance clean-up and governance activities, teams often need to review assets that have already been archived. Being able to isolate assets within archived folders would make it easier to distinguish them from live, in-use assets, reducing the risk of accidentally unapproving, modifying, or deleting active assets. This functionality would improve efficiency, support better instance management, and help ensure that clean-up efforts are focused only on retired content.

Attached/below. Keen to hear counterpoints and other considerations for use.

CNIL has created a need to add the logic to send an email with disabled tracking for France leads. The same would be true for Italy soon, but this also means that we are modifying all “Send Email” steps with a choice, or replacing it with a requested/executable campaign. If this conditional setting and the ability to modify it is inbuilt into the email, that would help enable/disable tracking in a dynamic manner for the emails which are already in use. The parameters may extend to beyond tracking pixels as compliance landscape evolves and the settings could be beyond pixel tracking overtime.

Hi Everyone! I have set up a template using the new email builder. I made sure it looks good in both light mode and dark mode. However, when we use that template to create an actual email asset, the dark mode does not keep the styling that we originally dictated once we paste in new content. Sometimes I can paste in content and dark mode displays as I’ve set it to, but sometimes I paste in content and it just completely messes up dark mode. I have tried copying/pasting directly from the Excel file with the content. I’ve tried copying and selecting “paste and match style” to keep the style of the Marketo text box I’m pasting into. I’ve also tried copying/pasting into Sublime to strip the formatting, then copying/pasting from Sublime into Marketo. None of these processes made a difference. Dark mode always displays incorrectly. We shouldn’t have to (and it’s not sustainable to) re-style the dark mode for every single email. If there is a text block that’s already been styled in both ligh

The standard endpoints used to export results do not support returning the specific test variant details for A/B-tested emails. When an email is part of an A/B test, the API returns the generic value "Whole Emails Test."This value identifies that the email belongs to an A/B test group, but it does not indicate whether the email was Variant A or Variant B. As a result, the specific variant cannot be determined using the results.I understand that this information is important for your use case. However, at the moment, we do not have an API endpoint that can identify whether an email belongs to Variant A or Variant B.

We would like to be able to determine how many times a webhook is called in past 30/60/90 days. We can get the people that were affected by the webhook, but because the webhook could process more than one person, the two are not equal. We want to see this to determine how frequently these webhooks are being called.

Batch Campaigns can have the status “Scheduled to run”, and you can filter for this status. Thing is, that this is in fact not their current status. These campaigns ran a year ago, yet the status is not updated. Once you click on them, Marketo recognizes the current status and removes it from the filter.I consider this a bug, and I think the status of scheduled campaign should automatically be set to “Has run” after it has run.And on a side note: If you want to archive a program that has Smart Campaigns in it that are in the “Scheduled to run” status - even if that’s not true - you can’t archive. Marketo will display this error message:

Currently there is no API endpoint to get the Flow details of a campaign. This is also a blocker in MCP as well since the it works based on REST API. Complete Campaign QA cannot be completed without flow details.
