Setting to conditionally disable tracking from emails in use

CNIL has created a need to add the logic to send an email with disabled tracking for France leads. The same would be true for Italy soon, but this also means that we are modifying all “Send Email” steps with a choice, or replacing it with a requested/executable campaign. If this conditional setting and the ability to modify it is inbuilt into the email, that would help enable/disable tracking in a dynamic manner for the emails which are already in use. The parameters may extend to beyond tracking pixels as compliance landscape evolves and the settings could be beyond pixel tracking overtime.

Thanks for adding that to the Ideas section. Crucial point!

At the moment, it seems that CNIL only covers open tracking. And we were already wondering why click tracking wasn’t explicitly mentioned too. Either way: Tracking has to be moved from asset level to person level.

I have talked with several companies that have interpreted the click track to be inclusive with the open tracking.  This requires additional edits to the the email assets, and also is needed to comply with Italy (Garante).  I am curious how many other teams have decided to block all tracking.
