Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Hello, our team publish PDFs with a URL and each time they don't update in production. It is not related to the Akamai cache as we have cleared that. Just seems to be an issue with PDF files. Checking the status of the last one, it still nots pending, although author says they have followed the right steps. Anyone else experience this? Using 6.5 on prem. Could it be that the author is not following the right process?   Thank you

I want to sync all of my AEM Assets with my local system automatically whenever we add assets in the AEM Assets cloud. Could you please let me know what the available options are?   I considered using the AEM Desktop application, but it doesn't sync all assets locally. Would webdav work in this case? Does AEMaaCS support webdav?

My goal is to publish assets to social media like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn in AEM Assets. Is there any OOTB option for publishing to social media?

Hello, I have admin privileges on each of our products in Adobe (Assets, Dynamic Media, etc.). But even that fact, I cannot log in to the desktop app :  I found an article in Adobe tutorials that I should ask "Dynamic Media administrator" for access. Okay - I'm the Dynamic Media administrator, but I cannot answer this question. How should I access it there? The person who was using it before - no longer work in the company.    Any ideas? I will be grateful for your help!

What is different between AEM Assets as Cloud Service and Dynamic Media?

Hi everyone,I am new to AEM Assets and I am just trying to download AEM Asset using AssetDownlaodService. The problem here is that the method for downloadAsset is returning me a empty value to the servlet. I am unable to find out the reason behind this. Any suggestion or idea will be Appreciatable. Below is the code which i am writing for downloading the asset : import com.day.cq.dam.api.jobs.AssetDownloadService;import org.apache.commons.io.IOUtils;import org.apache.commons.lang3.StringUtils;import org.apache.sling.api.SlingHttpServletRequest;import org.apache.sling.api.SlingHttpServletResponse;import org.apache.sling.api.resource.Resource;import org.apache.sling.api.resource.ResourceResolver;import org.apache.sling.api.servlets.SlingAllMethodsServlet;import org.apache.sling.servlets.annotations.SlingServletPaths;import org.osgi.service.component.annotations.Component;import org.osgi.service.component.annotations.Reference;import javax.jcr.Node;import javax.jcr.Session;impor

can you set image terms to the share link interface in Brand Portals?  These terms are already in a field in the metadata.

My team has 10 PDFs located on our DAM that we are wanting to have redirect to a different file. Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks,

Hello  I'd like to know who uploaded a file.  Can I add a search criteria in the search forms?  Or extract it in a report?  If so what is the correct node to use to do so?

Hi, I have 2images under this path https://localhost:4502/assets.html/content/dam/category/laptops/general/images when I try to access the asset its showing only one image, other image isn't visible Can anyone help me.

When uploading assets to Brand Portal, is the uploader able to add metaproperties to the files?  Do they have access to a metadata schema to provide details of the uploaded assets?

We are trying to find a way to avoid asset redundancy. E.g, an asset residing in folder A should be consumable by an account that doesn’t have permission to folder A. We would like to avoid duplicating the asset into a folder that the account has permission to. We may need to move the asset into a “public” folder to be shared across different accounts, but other than this, is there any other better way? Can you perhaps share some best practices around this topic?

We are customizing Assets Admin Search Rail Search form to add more filters in AEM DAM search filters panel,Property Predicate is working pretty well but issue is that after search AEM is not adding search filter with search key in the upper rail.AEM is adding search filter in upper rail only for filters created using options predicate. Please see the screen shot. Can someone help in this?

Tried to add a file upload field on Page component, but tough it works on page properties update dialog is not working on page creation on which is not rendering correctly and the select image from DAM button is not working. I'm suing AEM 6.5.11. Anyone with the same issue, any ides to solve?

I have a user 'abc' in two environments(test&uat), In both the environments the user 'abc' having same permissions. But when I open the asset properties The properties look completely different than on test UAT - wrong fields, also tabs don't show all required mandatory fields. Test- as Expected showing correct results. Can anyone help

Hello, I would like to kindly ask you about my idea. So we are having our ERP when the new products are created. I want to integrate the process of article creation with our DAM (Assets). So I imagine it in the following steps. 1. Someone creates an article in ERP 2. ERP trigger a workflow in DAM (by HTTP request with SKU in the path to AEM) 3. Some groups in DAM (let's say Content Group) receive an email/push to fulfil the asset (it could be good to check if the asset with a specific SKU exists, if not - continue the workflow) 4. If the asset was uploaded, the workflow was finished.    What do you think about that?

Hi Team,   Looking for a recommendation to publish assets programmatically from AEMaaCS to DM (Scene 7), specifically from a custom step in a workflow.   Currently, the DM Publish Servlet ([asset].dmpublish.json) will be invoked from the UI when publishing manually any asset to DM. Is there a way to programmatically do the same from the backend following best practices?   Thanks in advance!

AEM Pages, Rollout Assets from /content/dam is not updating the paths, what can we do to make sure that /content/dam/my-site/${LOCALE} is actually translated after the rollout of a page... when assets are being used?

Hello Community, Happy New Year!   I'd appreciate some support or ideas on spacing height between images in the eCommerce I work on.   Note that the top banner was done in SFCC and the other main images in AEM with the spacing issues, which are definitely not consistently.   The images are the same size with no transparent background behind, but always have different spacing.   Please see below:

Hi All,   I have started the AEM 6.5.14 instance in dynamicmedia_scene7 runmode and created the cloud services config as well (Tools > Cloud Services > Dynamic Media Configuration > global). I have then uploaded two videos (.mp4 & .mov) in Assets and trying to Edit those videos to author for Interactive media (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/dynamic-media/dynamic-media-interactive-video-feature-video-use.html?lang=en#) but I do not get the "Edit" option. Please suggest how to get the "Edit" option, is there any other pre-requisite for it to work? I have also uploaded an image and I see the "Edit" option on that so that means the cloud config is working fine but video is not editable.

I have created a custom  metadataschema for applying to assets in a project specific folder. But default , this is what it will get applied to And inside the image       But I can see , this schema which has certain mandatory properties are being applied to excel files with extension xlsx as well. How can I restrict this schema getting applied for excel type assets?

Hello,  We are working on AEM 6.3.  We have around a thousand pdf files stored under DAM path (as jcr:primaryType = nt:file) may be retained from old AEM versions and never migrated as DAM assets so far. Is there any OOTB option/tool to convert them into proper DAM assets with renditions, thumbnails etc? DAM authors need to access them now but they can't. because there's no preview for them.  these PDFs are only accessible in crx/de for administrators now.    I think we can create an endpoint (servlet) which triggers the DAM update asset workflow, taking these PDF paths as payload, but I just wanted to know if there's any other good approach for this.   Please let us know if there's any solution for this.

Hi all,   Generally only AEM is customized and the Assets being the back end will undergo customization accordingly.   But only with respect to AEM Assets what kind of customizations to expect? I understand some aspects like Asset Link, Smart Crop, Smart Tagging, etc, but I personally do not consider these as customizations. Of course Assets Migration may be involved, but again this is not customization.   Appreciate all your responses.   Thanks, Rama.

Hello,   I'm currently researching an Assets HTTP API: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/admin/mac-api-assets.html?lang=en   And could receive Assets information: Folders list, Images in folders via API. Also we have a "Commerce" component on Asset Edit page:      But I'm not receiving any information from this tab when using API.Even metadata section is empty.   Any chance to receive this metadata or even being able to filter Assets by some Product SKUs?   Thanks in advance
