Adobe Analytics

Hi everyone, Noticing in our data that the majority of iOS data from Pinterest (identified with campaign codes) comes in with an unspecified referrer and referring domain in Adobe Analytics. Wondering if the team knows of any reason this might happen? Maybe something with the webviews in their native app, or is there some known redirect they perform. I know pinterest is a large ad platform so hoping someone else has insight on this issue.

I am trying to use the Excel based health dash as posted here by Adobe - https://new.express.adobe.com/webpage/y6DGOeWmpo7UhI am getting error message that the product maynot be supported by Adobe anymore. Any advice here to use this or a similar product to actively monitor the health of a report suite and all its props and evars is much appreciated.

Working with derived fields to calculate the time difference between users starting on page A and the time they took to start page B. Have setup a derived field that uses a case when statement to determine the timestamp when page A was reached and the same for page B. Below the when statement have used a type case statement to parse the time into DD-MM-YY hh:mm:ss time. This part works great. But when I define persistance within the component settings as “orginal” and “session” it returns serveral values, Where I’d expect it to only return the first instance of the timestamp. Thank you in advance 

Till last week when I select a cell or multiple cell am able to see date range and segment used for the selected cells.however since this week am not able to see this also refresh selected cell is not working. anyi dea how to solve this ?

Classification rules are now available in classification sets.I created a new classification set and added a rule with a regex and I wonder if any of you can shed some light on the following observations.According to the status, my new rule was directly activated without me explicitly activating it. Even after deactivating and saving, it reverts back to active. Testing the new rule gives me error messages. First it says “You have unsaved changes to your rules. Please save your changes and try again.”, although I saved it and did not change anything. After clicking on “Save rules” (again) and clicking on “Test rule set” it unhelpfully says  “Failed to test ruleset. Please try again.”Are there known problems with saving/testing rules?

Hi! In my company we have set up the marketing channels in the best way, but the results I see from workspace do not convince me and I think there are errors in the processing rules, but I do not know how to solve them. The main anomalies I see in the data are: The main anomalies I see in the data are:- 55% of the audience of the marketing channel "direct" is from Referrer Type "Search Engines", specifically the majority comes from Google.In the Processing Rules "direct" is my last rule, and above it are the rules for the "search" channels. I created an automated report using the Excel Report Builder. It emails me at least weekly, if not more. I no longer want to use this report, but there’s no link in the email, and I’m not sure what happened to the original file. How do I stop this?

Hello all,  We have experienced a break in our data where a “N/A” value was getting captured in a dimension instead of the correct URL (domain and path only). We have another variable that captures the URL (included query string parameters). Since the original dimension is heavily used, we want to see if there are any solutions we can employ before updating all of our segments.  So as the title - are there any methods we can employ to update the N/A values on dimension X with breakdown of the dimensions with Y?

Can we create Marathon Dashboard using Reporting API 2.0?

Hi, I'm looking to use a custom metric and apply attribution settings to it, but the non-default attribution settings only work on metrics within the Data View. How do I create a metric within Data View that is counting distinct dimension values, so that I can apply non-default attribution settings within workspace? Right now, it seems like I can only count metrics at the event level (row count with the value) or Session or People. But for cases like application IDs where we want to attribute each instance of an app ID to an upstream touchpoint, I would need a distinct count metric. Thanks

Hello Community,Let me explain the scenario I am facing with Login Credentials of adobe.Previously we had company email name as "shortid@company.com" and I had my Adobe Analytics login with the same. After that due to our company policy our email id has been changed to "firstname.lastname@company.com" and this marked as FEDERATED ID. A new ID in adobe is being created for me with "firstname.lastname@company.com" - so now I have two IDs in Adobe. My old ID (shortid@company.com) was having only one application and that is Adobe Analytics and new ID (firstname.lastname@company.com) was having for applications (Data Collection,Software Distribution, System Status and Workfront). I am a Web Data Analyst in the organization and I was using "shortid@company.com" as my login credential to access Adobe Analytics. Now an admin right user of our company account in adobe converted my Adobe Analytics ID to FEDERATED ID to enable SSO Login.As a reason whenever I am trying to use

Hi all, I know this question was raised in past multiple times but - from my perspective - wasn’t fully answered yet. I read through the exisitng posts here in the experience league but am still confused.First: I am aware about the differences between hit and visit segments and that fallout analysis handles dimension items as an visit (or visitor) segments.The question came up, when we comared visit numbers from a freeform table with a fallout analysis:As you can see in the fallout analysis it says 5.734 visits. When I create a visit segment which contains the same URL as the fallout I get the same number when populating a time dimension to it. But now the confusion: when I breakdown the single dimension items and take a look at the exact same dimension item, which is filtered in the visit segment / fallout, I get lower visit numbers? There are no other filters applied in the panel. Any ideas? Thanks you all in advance!Best, Paul

Hello,I’m using the Bulk Data Insertion API and i’ve been encountering some 429 errors.I do understand that the rate limit is at 1 request per second, and I am setting up a retry policy after waiting some time before resending.My question is: should I simply wait one second before retrying? I currently have an Adobe Analytics segment that is built using a fixed list of known franchisee IDs (approximately 1,000 IDs).Franchisee IDs are captured at the time of login. When a new franchisee logs in, their ID is collected and should automatically be included in this segment. However, I want to avoid manually updating the segment each time a new franchisee ID is added.This segment is used to measure: The percentage of known franchisees who have logged in The number of franchisees who have logged in out of the total known franchisee population Is there a way in Adobe Analytics to make this segment dynamic so that newly captured franchisee IDs are automatically included and these metrics stay accurate without manual maintenance?

We are in the process of setting up an internal datalake which will receive a Data Feed from Adobe Analytics. The engineers need an example of what the Data Feed output will look like (ie. a sample version of hit_data.tsv).I cannot create and export my own test data feed because we don’t yet have a destination set up to send it to. I also cannot find a sample file anywhere in the Adobe documentation nor elsewhere on the internet(?!).Google’s AI Mode suggest it will look something like this (ie. tab-delimited and with a header row), however I want to confirm this as I don’t fully trust AI yet. Hi everyone,I hope you are well. I have a question on the Adobe Analytics products variable.We currently use our products variable (s.products) for our site's retail journey. However, a separate journey is currently being worked on for a different part of the site/business area. This journey also allows users to purchase multiple different items together, each with their own attributes.I want to keep everything in the same report suite for pathing/attribution purposes. As far as I'm aware Adobe Analytics only gives us one products variable per report suite. I'm curious if anyone has experience of using the products variable for multiple separate journeys in the same report suite. If so, are there any recommendations/best practices to avoid the data becoming a horrible mess.For info: We are running a "traditional" Adobe Analytics deployment (not CJA) using App Measurement (not Web SDK) through a third party Tag management system (not Launch). Any advice on this would be hugely appreciat

We’ve set up our Organic Social channel with the following rule: traffic is classified as Organic Social when the query string parameter “umedium” does not exist and the referring domain contains social domains (e.g., fb.com, instagram.com, etc.).Recently, we observed that some traffic from chatgpt.com is being bucketed into the Organic Social channel, even though chatgpt.com is not included in our social domain list. Based on our current rules, this classification seems unexpected.Could this be due to how the referrer is being passed or interpreted, or is there a known behavior that would cause chatgpt.com traffic to fall into Organic Social under these conditions? Any guidance on whether our rules need adjustment—or if this outcome is expected—would be appreciated.
