Next Page vs Journey Canvas Next Page

Hi!

I am diving into Journey Canvas and seeing some difference in numbers between other tools, and was wondering if anyone can help explain why.

I am analyzing PDP behaviour. On the right-click, I choose ‘Show top 3 nodes immediately after this node’ and it populates numbers for pages after a PDP. But when I use the Next or Previous Item tool, and follow similar steps for pages after a PDP, the numbers are different.

The container, time frame, and primary metrics are all the same. Can anyone explain why these might be different? I am assuming it’s how the segments are built?

It’s possible that notallpotential flows are covered by Journey Canvas?Keep in mind, that the Next/Previous panel has absolutely no filtering based on what pages are in the flow…it simply looks at Session Timestamps / Hit Depth / etc…However, in the Journey Canvas, if you have anything before in your flow, the node will be constrained by it..I can’t see your data or what you have in your Journey Canvas, but that would be the first thing I suggest looking into
