Unexpected Application Error

Is anyone else having issues with an "Unexpected Application Error" in various areas like Dashboards and Projects. The specific error is below. This started about 3 weeks ago. Workfront support believes that it is a problem with our company's firewall / security.

The browser's console log has an error message stating "Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED" on "https://mfe-c.static.workfront.com/quicksilver/2a9f2a5b/167f2bf67312886db53a80138d3ab35bd6930d49/wf-..."

I have seen a similar error before but it was never consistent nor repeatable. I haven't seen it again in several months though. If this is something that is consistent, I would recommend opening a WF Support ticket and having them help you diagnose. There are several browser dev tools that can help you see what's going on under the hood as it's happening. Adobe support can help guide you through that.

We're seeing the same thing. Open a support ticket to make sure the scale of the problem is accurate.

Tara,

You are seeing the exact same error message? What has Workfront support told you? As mentioned above, they told us it was a firewall issue. Our network team has been unable to resolve the issue thus far.

I work with OP and wanted to post the resolution.

Turns out that Workfront is requesting a user certificate as part of the IDP authentication process. This means you have to disable SSL decryption.

Adding *.workfront.com to our decryption bypass list on our firewalls fixed the problem.
