How to migrate input from request custom form to project custom form?

Hello Experts,

Just a question about custom forms, if i collect some input data from a custom form which is attached to a request / queue topic. Can we migrate / copy the same data to a project if project is converted from a request? Or to a custom form which is attached to the project, if take a example of similar title field input.

Any possibility / Idea to achieve this.

HI Kundan,

Yes, this is possible. To achieve this you need to create a custom form associated with the project object type, which has the same fields that are used on your request form.

The easiest way to do this is to create a copy the existing request form and associate it with the 'project' object type, you can then attach this to your project when converting a request resulting in custom data from the request form being copied over to the project during the conversion process.

It works for the first time conversion from Issue to Project. but is any idea, how to apply for existing resolved projects?

No Problem Kundan,

Unfortunatley, I don't think this is possible. Since the field values copy over during the conversion process, I don't think it is possible to carry them over after the conversion has already happened. You would have to manually re-enter them onto the project.
