Creative Team Goals

Using the Analytics tile I am able to measure and provide a goal to our Account team of "Projects completed on time". I would like to create a similar goal for our designers and writers - preferably "Tasks completed on time". However, after submitting a Support ticket and speaking to someone this is not a measure offered in Analytics or in Workfront. So, my quesion what measurable goal(s) do you provide to your designers and writers?

 

Please know we are an internal creative group and do not bill back to our clients.

Hi, what is your objective of wanting to see 'tasks completed on time'? You can think of other reports to show what you're looking to see. For example, if you're curious on discrepancies between planned and actual task completion, you can have a task report with those two columns and add in a datediff column to easily see the discrepancies. If you're seeing a high discrepancy, you may either need to reassess your template task durations or your resources. If you're an org that continually updates your dates to show reality, you can pull baseline reports to get an idea of what the project started as vs. how it ended up.


If you're wanting to how different project types are netting out in terms of # of days, if you have a custom form field indicating project type, you can group a project report based on type + actual duration. 

There are various ways to hone in on what you're trying to answer - ask yourself what you're trying to glean from the broader question of wanting to know if things are done on time or not (refine the question)...
