Can I trigger automatic notification/emails, based on a selected dropdown item of a custom field?

Hi community

I try to get a certain scenario where, if one option in a dropdown list is selected an automated email or other notification is triggered so that a person is notified if this option is selected.

Anybody got an idea? :)

I know you can with Fusion but I don't know of any way to do it that's built-in.

    I have a similar situation and was only able to do this in Fusion, let me know if you find another way.
