Option to Hide "Ignore/Consider User Time Off"

The ability for end users to select "Ignore/Consider User Time Off" for task durations in projects can lead to unintended consequences if project owners don't fully understand what that field does. For companies where due dates can not be moved because a team member takes PTO, it is important that we are able to proactively set project options without having to build exception reports to find and fix these issues.

If admins could hide that field via layout templates, that would go a long way to consistent project management across our company.

Hi there, this is a setting in Setup to ignore user time off (Setup > Project Preferences > Projects):

I agree this setting is nice in theory, but like you said, people don't realize the implications. We turned it off last year bc we need something done regardless of who does it, not catering to their time off haha. So it's something you can set at a global level.

This is part of a much bigger concern/complaint that I’ve been voicing for some time. Admins need the ability to determine what our users see and what they don’t see, period, full stop.

I have seen our governance ability eroded little by little with each “update” for the past 3 years now. We need the ability to build an interface that guides our users through our SOP workflows, not what Adobe thinks our workflow should be.

We need to hide what the user should not see, and show what they should see. Currently, a novice user can click on one setting and screw up a million dollar job. We as admins, should have the ability to hide that click from them.

Thank you for the input @Madalyn_Destafney,. The issue we are running into is that while the system setting changes the default option, users can (and do) still change the setting on any given project. Being able to hide that option from view entirely (via layout templates) would solve this problem for us.
