Has anybody added the Planning tool to their existing Workfront instance? If so, did you do it all internally or did you hire a 3rd party consultant to help complete the setup process?
We are finalizing the contract to get Planning, so as the WF System Admin, I'm looking for advice on the best route to take.
If you have any updated tutorial videos or setup documentation that's more recent than March, that would be helpful too.
Thanks!

Justin,
We recently purchased and enabled the Planning product in our environment. There wasn't really much to set up, you will enable the Planning icon in a person's layout template and that will allow them to use. We had a simple use case to start with our content team wanting to build a content calendar for planning. In this case I gave them access and allowed them to build themselves which they did and they are happy using.
It depends on how much governance you want, if every team builds what they need, could be great but then there could be data that all teams need that could be shared (think Vendors, Regions, Industry records) and may be best to create with a little governance...it also depends if you have the time and effort which I've not so I've let a few teams cowboy in the environment to get started.
I'm transitioning into a new role in our Tech & Ops COE, and they're finalizing the purchase of Planning currently. I'll have time to assist and build out what's needed based on the use case of our campaign planners, just wasn't sure if it's highly technical or mostly permissions/setup within the tool. Thanks for the input, definitely helps!
