[Event Follow-Up] Learn with Customers: Using Workfront for Reorgs

Huge thanks to @Lyndsy-Denk and @JenDesmond for sharing their time and experience on today’s event! Company reorganizations come with significant structural and process changes, and have become a regular part of an employee’s work life. In this session, we discussed how do reorgs affect your Workfront users, and how can Sys Admins configure the system to manage these changes, including: 

  • How Workfront can help navigate your company reorgs 
  • Configuration Best Practices 
  • First-hand experience and lessons learned from real world examples

Additional Resources/Highlights  

  • Utilize reorgs as a way to re-launch Workfront in terms of adoption – be patient, allow users to re-acclimate to this new way of working 
  • Emphasis on communication, both in terms of system changes and considering the human impact on users. 
  • Balance quick implementation of changes with giving users time to adapt. 
  • Groups vs Teams (IDEXX) - Groups reflect the org structure and can be used to grant object visibility. Teams are a mix of queue routing in some occasions, a lot of layout assignments, regional bulk assignments at time. Tip: Keep meticulous notes in both the Group and Team description.
