Has anyone switched to the Adobe Workfront Review tool vs the desktop proof app for Interactive proofs? (https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/workfront/using/review-and-approve-work/proofing/review-p...)

I am looking for any feedback on it. I will test in it Preview but am hoping to get the list of Pros and Cons that others have encountered.

Hi @Tracy_Parmeter

Thank you for your question! Based on my experience with customers, I have provided some info below. Some of this is mentioned in the link that you shared

The pros of the Adobe Workfront Review Tool include that it is configured in a browser, so users don't need to install desktop software; it is designed to proof interactive content into ZIP files or with URLs; and it works across multiple browsers and operating systems. On the other hand, it may not work well for websites that require SSO authentication or prevent iFrames from loading; your IT team may restrict users from download browser extension, which would mean additional intervention is required; and users would need to uninstall the Legacy Web Viewer extension in order to use the new review tool.

The pros of the Desktop Proofing Viewer include that no browser extension is required; it provides better support for certain sites that contain iFrames; and it is an ideal solution for more complex content. With that being said, your IT team may restrict users from installing the software altogether; and it is potentially less versatile when compared to a web-based solution.

You're definitely on the right track. I agree with you; performing tests in your Preview environment is the best way to get a feel for the tool and understand how well it aligns with your workflow as well as identifying unique roadblocks that are specific to your team. If you go through this process before making it the default, you'll set your team up for success.
