Hosted in partnership with Ewan Hruska @ewanhof Field Engineering and Brian Haight of Professional Services, this session walked through 5 different tips you can leverage for automating naming conventions using Workfront Fusion:
- Tip 1: Establish consistent, long-term naming schemes avoiding frequent changes across related objects.
- Tip 2: Use unique identifiers (project reference numbers or custom incremental numbers) in naming conventions.
- Tip 3: Drive naming conventions through request form fields like business unit and region dropdowns.
- Tip 4: Limit total project name length using Workfront validation rules to prevent character overflow.
- Tip 5: Balance human readability with AI discoverability by starting names with most useful identifiers.

Fusion takes time and practice to learn, so if you're just getting started, complete the (free!) Fusion Training on Experience League and if budget allows, consider signing up for the 3-day instructor led boot camp ($), Manage Connections and Workflows in Adobe Workfront Fusion. Another great resource is the article, Currently Available Workfront Fusion Templates.
You also have peers on the Experience League Community to help along with a handful of free events coming up where other customers will share their Fusion use cases. Be sure to check the Events page on Experience League to register.
