DB Vista - Self Service AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
DB Vista is one of the most under-utilized features of Adobe Analytics because it requires working through Adobe's Engineering Services. I would like to see a version of DB Vista that is available to administrators as a self-service instead. Just as Data Feeds used to require Engineering Services, but now is self-service, so too could DB Vista. I have found that Data Feeds is used much more now that it is more accessible. I think the same would be true for DB Vista.I also think that this would h...

Re: Allow data for future dates to be uploaded via data sources AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
This limitation should definitely be removed! If you could upload target data to Data Sources, you can do amazing analysis on performance to date in Analysis Workspace!

Make Analysis Workspace auto-conditional formatting work better AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
Currently, the Analysis Workspace auto-generated conditional formatting feature doesn't work very well. If you have a large date range with various metrics, it doesn't dynamically change or adjust to changes. Often times you have to use the manual feature to sett upper and lower bounds.I'd like to see this feature work better so you can make changes and have the color schemes change dynamically. If that isn't possible, I'd like to have the ability to set the upper and lower bounds by using a for...

Re: Divide/Multiply/Add/Subtract Analysis Workspace Summary Metrics AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics

Filter Calc Metrics by variable name or segment name in definition AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
I would like to be able to enter the name of any variable (or segment) in the manage calculated metrics search box and have it return all calculated metrics that contain that variable name or segment name. This way, if you know that a calculated metric uses a specific variable or segment, you can narrow down your choices so you avoid making multiple versions of the same calculated metric.

Divide/Multiply/Add/Subtract Analysis Workspace Summary Metrics AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
I would like the ability to create a new analysis workspace summary metric that is a formula (at first just divide, multiply, add or subtract) of two existing summary metrics. This is useful when there is no easy way to create a calculated metric due to different time frame needs, etc.For example, if you have a summary metric for Daily Average of Unique Visitors and you want to divide it by the Weekly Average of Unique Visitors, it can be difficult. But if you had both as summary metrics (based ...

Filter Metrics List to See/Hide Calculated Metrics AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
When adding a metric to a report, often times you see hundreds of metrics. It would be nice if there were a way to optionally see only calculated metrics or only success events instead of always seeing them jumbled together.

Find Calculated Metrics/Segments by Variable AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
It would be great if there were an easy way to find all calculated metrics/segments that use a specific variable or combination for variables. For example, if there are 200 calculated metrics, it would be nice if you could filter them to see only those that use event3 or event3 and event5.

Re: Share your Analytics Blogs and Articles AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
Click-Through Rates in Adobe AnalyticsOne of the more advanced things you can do with Adobe Analytics is to track click-through rates of elements on your web pages. Adobe Analytics doesn’t do this out of the box, but if you know how to use the tool, there are some creative ways that you can add click-through rate tracking to your implementation. In this post, I will share a few different ways to track click-throughs for both products and non-product items.Product Click-through RatesIf you sell p...

Trending Adobe Analytics Data After Moving VariablesMost of my consulting work involves helping organizations fix and clean-up their Adobe Analytics implementations. Often times, I find that organizations have multiple Adobe Analytics report suites and that they are not setup consistently. As I wrote about in this post, having different variables in different variable slots across different report suites can result in many issues. To see whether you have this problem, you can select multiple rep...

Re: Merchandising eVars and product string with multiple products AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
You would need to repeat them for each product. Note that your string had commas and semi colons wrong and you need to leave a space for incrementer events. Here is what it should look like:s.products="fruit;orange;1;99;;eVar10=HeroBanner|eVar11=Autumn|eVar12=Bob,fruit;pear;2;180;;eVar10=HeroBanner|eVar11=Autumn|eVar12=Bob"

Re: Find out how much events are before and after a specific page AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
I am not sure if in your scenario it is always the same event or different events, but you can use a COUNTER eVar set to +1 on each page and expire it at your target event to see how many pages are viewed prior to the event. If you want to include multiple/all events, that is still possible, but in that case, you'd have to set a second event at the same time that you set the list of events you care about and then expire the eVar on that master success event. Here are some blog posts to read that w...

Re: Share your Analytics Blogs and Articles AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
Analysis Workspace - The Future is HereOne of the great things about Analysis Workspace is that it begs you to keep driving deeper and deeper into analysis in ways that the traditional Adobe Analytics reports do not. I have heard Ben Gaines talk about this as one of the reasons he loves Workspace so much and he is spot on. Ever since it burst onto the scenes, those who understand Adobe Analytics have realized that it represented the future of the product. The only thing holding it back was the f...

Re: Menu customisation - Remove classification items AdamGreco - Adobe Analytics
While somewhat extreme, what you can do is to save the main Responsys eVar report and the classifications you do want as custom reports, add them to the menu using the menu customizer tool and then HIDE the original Responsys report. That will hide the main report and all of its classifications, but you will still see the reports you want via the custom reoprt. You make a custom report by opening the report and using the toolbar and select CUSTOM REPORT option (under the 3 dots)...

For the most part, goals will convert to Success Events, but the two tools are pretty different in how they are implemented. You may want to check out my book on Adobe Analytics (http://bit.ly/sitecatalyst-handbook) before going to far with your implementation.
