@subsul1  you have explained the issue very well. As per my experience, this seems more like a bug with the AEM 6.5 cloud instance. It would be best to open a daycare ticket with Adobe Support. The team should try reproducing the issue and provide a fix accordingly.

@rsl_lucky I see same article available for AEM 6.5 here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/experience-manager/6-5/assets/using/assets-offloading-best-practices.html You might want to reach Adobe Daycare or your CSM to understand the path forward. The 6.4 and 6.5 documents are contradictory. 

@akashan2 this will not be available OOTB. You have to customize the workflows to get notifications at an early stage. Please see more info here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/administering/operations/notification.html?lang=en Hope this helps.

@manpreetk908 AEM OOTB Move has a limited no. of asset support. While ACS commons is an open source utility to help with bulk operations.I would recommend you disable the DAM Update Asset Workflow first and then try MCP Tools on 10-20k assets at a time.
