If you have Fusion, you could have a field on the request where they enter the information and then create a scenario where Fusion  transfers that information to the project fields.

One other area to look at might be to see if they have access to user contact information.  It is a default for admins but a check box on other levels.

Does the user have manage access to the report they're trying to send or just view access?  They also need edit access to  Edit access to Reports, Dashboards, Calendars and Edit access to Filters, Views, Groupings.

It is not possible, I agree that would be a great improvement to be able to customize the view and filters in requests.

Make sure that "Run this report with the Access Rights of:" doesn't have your name in it.  That's the only thing I can think of that might cause this.

I'm not sure if it would help in this situation, but you can set default filters and views on dashboards in the layout templates.

If you automate the process of converting the issue to the task using Fusion, then you could have Fusion move it to the correct project.
