Ok, but this will be script heavy. You'll have this for each and every label you have in your form and the choice will be on the user side. But, in fairness, if there is no way to á priori know the language in wich to display the form, it is probably the best way.

You can navigate/view an XDP file as if here a XML file, because its basicly a markup language with the same basic rules, but different taglibs. You should be able to work with it using any XML application / API just like any other XML file. The xdp:xdp tag you're talking about is nothing more than a namespace (http://www.w3schools.com/XML/xml_namespaces.asp).

Task Manager endpoints is something i haven't got around to fiddle with.I left my VMs at Home so i don't have a LC:ES 8.2 version here, i'll try to see thoose issues on Monday, but, if they're anyway like Watched Folders you can always pass a variable to indicate the language you wish to get.Just one question, do you have a set of rules that tells you what language to use?

I think not. This forums are focused on Adobe tech, and while there are users that are savvy in other techs, you might not find help for specific questions that don't relate to Adobe tech here.

That is a 2 way stick. The why you should change the Mime type is that the associations File Type --> application in most OS is done by Mime type. But, this also means that a end-user migth create the association of your Mime type to LC:Designer and puft, your system failed.Apart from randomizing the Mime type of the file when you send it in the HTTP Response object you'll never be sure it is working properly, and even then its a best efford aproach at its best.I'm at all not for trying to control...

I would say your best bet was to have 12 different templates (XDP) and your orchestrated process picks with template to use based on an input variable.AFAIK XFA.forms don't support multiling implementations or internationalization processes. This and the fact that most of your document is made of non-input objects it makes this even harder, because you'd have to script most of the labels to import their content from hidden fields.

Re: Simple Tool Tip Question
Avatar

You can have 2 text boxes, one for the user input (no caption) other for the label (here the input section is not visible because you'll set the width to 0). This way you can get the tool tip on the label only. For the end user this will be transparent.

The object you want the tool tip to be in must be editable by the end-user, otherwise the tool tip won't be displayed.Try to check if that is the case.

Livecycle is more than capable of that. The problem is that if you use reader 9 or above you won't be able to work well with your form.If you use reade 8 or below, no problem then.

I think you won't be able to do that.In reader 8 or previous you could get around that by not locking all the fields with each signature, but in reader 9 this doesn't work. You'll have to add all the data you want (this includes files), certify the document and then add all the signatures you wish to add.Anyway, this was the only way i got that to work, there may be other ways.

You can Flatten you interactive PDF (using Output ES for example) and after that your users will be able to extract pages.Output can flat both XFA and Acroforms. This would require an interface to allow your end-users to consume the service without using a development tool. This could be as simple as a watched folder shared somehere in the network or a email endpoint, no nedd to use complex web sites.edit: If all you want to do is eliminate the empty pages then you don't need to extract pages. I don't think its possible.AFAIK when a PDF prints the reader transfers the responsability of the printing job to the driver in question. Kind of a shoot-and-forget operation. After the job is passed to the driver then its the driver's responsability to get it done or warn the end-user about any faults in operation. But i'm not 100% sure on this.
