Hi @amritakedia1 and my fellow Aspirants!

This is Brian. I'm a Director of Marketing Operations at Zendesk based in San Francisco CA. We are in the implementation phase of replacing our current martech stack with Adobe solutions: Marketo Engage, Assets, AEM Sites, Target and RT-CDP.

My team will be responsible for general admin of CDP/AEP and to support Marketing with Segmentation and Activation. I'm looking forward to earning my Business Practitioner certification and connecting with the community.

This is Vinod Kannan. I'm a Manager of Data Analytics at Conde Nast Tech Lab based in Bangalore, India. Currently, I’m focused on implementing Snowplow Analytics and onboarding data governance tools like AVO and Alation to enhance data quality, security, and compliance.

My team and I handle data privacy and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. We collaborate closely with marketing, product, data engineering, and executive teams to refine digital strategies and optimize conversion funnels.

With extensive experience in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, various tag management systems like Adobe Launch, Tealium and Google Tag Manager, and Segment CDP, I ensure accurate data collection and in-depth analysis.

I’m passionate about data governance, customer journey analytics, and leveraging cloud technology, and I look forward to connecting with the community to share insights on advanced analytics and data-driven strategies.

1. What kind of audiences would help me achieve same page and next page personalization?

For same-page personalization, 

  1. Consider new versus returning visitors, such as showing a welcome message or discount to new visitors and displaying recently viewed products for returning users. 
  2. Behavior-based audiences can include those who click on specific elements, scroll to certain depths, or spend a certain amount of time on a page, enabling tailored content like special offers or related product recommendations. 
  3. Geo-location audiences allow for location-specific promotions, while device type audiences ensure mobile users see optimized content. 

For next-page personalization, 

  1. Journey-based audiences focus on users' previous page visits or their stage in the conversion funnel, like showing related products after a user reads a blog post or reminding them of cart items with a discount if they didn't check out. 
  2. Audiences based on purchase history can highlight related products to past purchasers or remind cart abandoners of their items. 
  3. Content consumption audiences, such as those who read certain articles or watch videos, can receive recommendations for advanced guides or in-depth videos. 
  4. Lastly, engagement level audiences, whether highly engaged or not, can be targeted with exclusive content or special discounts to drive further interaction.

2. What kind of audiences will you use for real-time personalization for the email channel?

For real-time email personalization, various audience types can be highly effective. 

  1. Behavioural data audiences, like recent purchasers, can receive follow-up emails with product recommendations based on their recent purchases.while cart abandoners can be sent reminders with items left in their cart along with a discount to encourage completion. 
  2. Engagement data audiences include high engagement users, who should receive exclusive offers due to their frequent interactions with emails, and low engagement users, who could benefit from re-engagement campaigns with special incentives.
  3. Demographic data audiences allow for tailoring email content based on geographical locations, such as local store events or region-specific promotions. 
  4. Audiences based on recent website behavior, like those who browsed specific categories, can receive emails featuring products from those categories. 
  5. Finally, purchase history audiences, including repeat customers, can be offered loyalty rewards, while first-time buyers might get thank you emails with a discount on their next purchase

3. I am saving an audience that looks at an offline batch purchase dataset, why can I not save it as streaming?

An audience based on an offline batch purchase dataset cannot be saved as streaming because of differences in data processing and real-time capabilities. Offline batch data is collected and processed at specific intervals, such as daily or weekly, representing historical data rather than real-time information. This batch data has a natural delay due to the time required for collection and processing, making it suitable for historical analysis and trend identification but not for immediate actions.
