Hi Mikael,
The calculation of how many times an offer is proposed happens when the email is being prepared, not when it is sent. This means that the system evaluates and counts the offers during the preparation phase.
The offer capping is calculated based on the chosen audience for the campaign or journey. When the email is prepared, the system evaluates the offers for each profile in the audience and counts them towards the offer cap. During the email preparation, all possible offers that are included in the email are counted towards their respective caps. It’s not just the highest priority offer for a profile. Every offer that is prepared for inclusion in the email is considered in the capping calculation.
The capping is counted at the time of email preparation, regardless of whether the campaign or journey is live or in draft. As soon as the email is prepared with the offers, those offers are counted towards their maximum cap. Pls check the below article. Hope this will help .
