Is it possible to use AEP for AJO without Real-Time CDP?

Is it possible to only have AEP + AJO, without Real-Time CDP?

If so, what would operating in that space look like for segment creation?

@sssynergy ,

Adobe Journey Optimizer is built natively on top of the Adobe Experience Platform.

Thanks for sharing. I believe this answers my question, as the article shows how to create external segments (assuming that this refers to data segmenting without Real-Time CDP).

Does anyone know if there is any documentation describing the areas where CDP and AJO overlap and where they differ?

I would like to understand which capabilities may not be possible if we use AEP for AJO without Real-Time CDP.

Check Adobe Experience Platform & Applications Overview diagram .

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/blueprints-learn/architecture/architecture-overview/platform...

AJO comes with all the AEP functionalities highlighted in red box, RT-CDP provides activation of segments to destinations which is not possible with AJO.

That's not much...  I really can't believe that would be it

Do you know of any other limitations?

Thank you! that's really helpful.

I'm genuinely wondering why Adobe is not providing more official guidance on that. A one-pager with a quick comparison of the significant standard features between the two licenses, along with a clear identification of the guardrails associated with each license type, would be really helpful. Especially considering that both products share a lot of common functionality, and understanding these differences requires a bit of knowledge about both products.
