what can be the issues when Detected latency spikes or timeouts in AEP guardrail

@PreetiPa3 I'm not quite following your question.  I'm assuming it might be something like this: I've detected a latency spike in AEP causing it to exceed a guardrail, what can be the issue?

If it is, it could be a few things, so rather than type them all out, here is what the AI Assistant suggests:

A latency spike in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) that causes it to exceed a guardrail may be due to an influx of experience event data overwhelming the system's capacity. When the rate of incoming events approaches or exceeds the streaming throughput capacity, it can lead to performance degradation and increased latency. To address this issue, consider the following steps:12

  1. Monitor Incoming Event Rates: Check the rate of incoming events to see if it is approaching the thresholds (80% or 90% of capacity). This can help identify if the spike is due to high data volume.3

  2. Optimize Data Ingestion: If possible, reduce the volume of incoming events or spread out the data ingestion over a longer period to avoid overwhelming the system.

  3. Review Performance Metrics: Utilize the performance metrics available in AEP to analyze the system's performance and identify any bottlenecks.

  4. Adjust Guardrails: If your use case requires higher throughput, consider discussing with your Adobe representative about adjusting the guardrails or increasing the capacity.

By taking these steps, you can help mitigate latency issues and ensure smoother operation within AEP.1

I do not have AI Assistant turned on Workfront yet, but I wanted to know 1) how do you Summarize a document, 2) how do you summary Updates (at the project level) and 3) do you have sample prompts that people are using in Workfront?

Hi Liz! Just a quick clarification that this session focuses on AI Assistant in Adobe Experience Platform! As for AI Assistant in Workfront, you might find this documentation helpful!

Thank you - I thought Workfront was part of Adobe Experience Platform.  Will you have a session on AI Assistant for Workfront?  Thanks for the documentation. I think videos would help and sample prompts for AI Assistant for Workfront.  This documentation is too generic.

Hi @LizTa2,

Thanks for sharing this feedback! I’ll pass it along to the Workfront Community Manager as an opportunity for them to potentially host an AMA focused on the AI Assistant for Workfront.

For updates, it’s best to follow the Workfront Community directly, since AMA timelines and related resources will be announced there.
I’d also recommend posting your questions in that space as there you’ll get the most accurate guidance from the Workfront experts themselves: Workfront Community
Hope this helps!

Good morning!  We do not utilize AI Assistant yet but I would love to understand what opportunities exist that would help reduce manual effort and improve team efficiency.  Thanks!

Hi @Heather_CPB , thank you for your question!

Absolutely, AI Assistant is becoming the go-to tool for marketing teams because it helps people get things done faster and more efficiently, right where they’re already working. Instead of digging through documentation, waiting on support, or spending hours on manual analysis, AI Assistant can step in to answer questions, provide insights, and take repetitive work off your plate.
For example, you can use it to tap into product knowledge—just ask something like “How do I create a custom action to use in Adobe Journey Optimizer journeys?” and get an instant, step-by-step answer without leaving your workflow. You can lean on it for operational insights, like asking “Show me my duplicate audiences” to help clean up your audience inventor. You can also use the Product Support Agent, to get help with common issues such as “Why does my profile count differ on the License Usage Dashboard and the Experience Platform home page?” so teams can self-serve, or to create and manage your support tickets. And with the Data Insights Agent, you can explore trends and patterns without writing queries—for example, “What is the profit across SKUs from February to May?

I'd like to know more about how to ask the AI assistant to summarize customized reporting? I noticed that when I upload the PDF in the Workfront AI assistant, it doesn't give me a summary when I prompt it. Hope that makes sense!

Hi @BrittanyGarrett

Thank you for your question. This AMA is specific to the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) AI Assistant. For Workfront-related queries, I’d recommend posting your question in the Workfront Community, where experts on that product will be able to guide you better.

Thanks!
