We are trying to build the product recommendations functionality with Adobe Target, and the major challenge we are experiencing is that the ftp server set up for product feed. We already have our feed set up in few sftp servers, but our understanding is that we cannot used secured ftp for Adobe Target (which is very strange). Do you have a work around for this? We could not convince our information security to set up a ftp that is not secured.

Here are a few options documented in detail: Feeds Following are important notes:
You can upload from FTP or URL.
While it's true we don't support SFTP we do support FTP with SSL (FTPS) for secure uploads.

There is an FTPS (FTP+SSL) option. Was it declined by the information security team too?
Unfortunately per documentation: Feeds SFTP is not supported." with that said however you can FTPS if you have your server admin configure the server to accept Explicit FTPS connections. For more on the difference between SFTP and FTPS see: https://www.goanywhere.com/blog/2016/11/23/sftp-vs-ftps-the-key-differences

Thanks guys for responding. Upon researching I also came across this workaround. However, I want to make sure that we're following the best recommended way; I see that we can use Recommendation API also for updating product feed. So, can anyone suggest me that from the following 3 methods, which one is practically feasible and best recommended approach?
- FTPS
- Recommendation API
- URL
Thanks in advance for your efforts.
Best,

Hi Aakash! Reaching out to see if you were able to resolve the issue? Thanks for posting and we look forward to hearing from you!
We use a public facing csv that gets indexed once a day. It works pretty well.
