Re: Pre-Requisites for learning adobe Target Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
The pool is deep. I would recommend just picking a side and jumping in. Stand up a fake site, integrate AT JS on a static page, integrate in a single page app, read the docs, watch the videos - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/?lang=en#dashboard/learning - and read the forums. Adobe Target is a tool that has a tremendous amount of patterns that could be implemented. It really comes down to your use case.

Re: Adobe Target creates and maintains profiles for every... Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
I am sorry, perhaps I do not understand what you are looking for. Those APIs are how you look at the profile in question. You can look by using the tntid which is in the mbox cookie in the client browser or by using mbox3rdpartyid - if you implemented that item. You can also use debug tokens from the setup/implementation interface within Adobe Target. You will need to look at the omtrdc resposne network call in the browser and look at the mboxTrace object.

Re: [AT Community Q&A Coffee Break] 5/27: Shannon Hamilton, Senior Adobe Target Product Manager Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
@jonathanl557422 it is not fun, but what you are asking is achievable with the Target API + a db + an express server. You can fetch a list of all the activated activities, then fetch the individual details of each activity and store the meta data necessary into your db. Audience id is one of the fields inside the activity single view. You can then use that id to step into the audience api to get the name/rules. There are a bunch of gotchas though, one of them being that audiences created within ...

Re: Analytics showing visitors for a Target Experience no... Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Could the traffic be test users that are looking at the deactivated Target activity and the A4T reporting is still sending their impressions/click to the analytics report suite?

Re: ::uniques_exceeded:: values being imported Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
I do not recall the exact number but Adobe variables are limited to around 500,000 unique values per month unless you go through client care to get the number bumped up to a max of 2,000,000. I would imagine this is related and is similar to the Low Traffic values that are seen in the reports. I am unsure about unspecified in visitor id. Perhaps calls are getting in without the visitor id service or you are using your own id and mapping into visitor id and it is null - not set?

Re: VISTA rule Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Not sure what the document is, however, it appears to be a negation column. "Contains query of a certain value" would be the positive case, and your case (the negative) is - "does not contain a query of a certain value".

Re: Adobe Sample Size calculator Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
I read it like this: the higher the lift, the quicker the test finds a winner. Lift is a calculated metric based on the typical conversion rate that you provided in accordance with the new offers performing the same conversion metric as control. If an offer is providing 15% lift, then the experiments wraps up with the winner in short order. Side note: you must be doing something right because I think a 2% conversion rate is a good baseline for click-thru banner sort of stuff.

Re: Measurement logic behind getPageLoadTime plugin Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Taking a quick look at the plugin it seems like it is getting the delta between window.performance.timing.navigationStart and window.performance.timing.loadEventEnd. (when the load event completed on current page) - (right after the unload completed on the previous page)

Re: Tracking fonts used on a website Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Can you speak a bit more about how you are loading the custom fonts? Are you hosting the fonts, or are they hosted elsewhere? I am going to assume you are hosing since the font company is asking you to keep up with the downloads. Also, how comfortable are you with context data/processing rules and events/props? My initial thought is to check window.performance for a particular file to have been downloaded: window.performance.getEntriesByName('https://www.example.com/fonts..woff2') If you are loa...

Re: Target DataProvider and regional mbox? Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
Seems like you are using AT 2.x so you should be able to pass an optional 3rd param into getOffers with the parameters (profile or mbox) that you need for that single call. You would need to call your data provider prior to running the code below and pass some vars around. adobe.target.getOffers({ request: { execute: { mboxes: [ { index: 0, name: "first-mbox" }, { index: 1, name: "second-mbox", parameters: { a: 1 }, profileParameters: { b: 2 } } ] } } });

It might just take some time for it to show up. You could also set up an API call to get the list. http://developers.adobetarget.com/api/#list-profile-parameters

Re: How to Exclude Testing Traffic from Report Suite Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Ok, then I guess it depends on how much involvement you want to have. If it is Selenium runner, then you can look at something like browsermob to proxy all of the network calls and just change the sitecat call to sitedog. Or you can use pupeteer and effectively do the same thing with rewriting the request. Another thought could be to write a plugin that injects a js variable onto the page that you read and swap out your report suite name with a test/dev one instead.

Re: How to Exclude Testing Traffic from Report Suite Eric_Vidana - Adobe Analytics
Are they automated scripts in some sort of headless browser, or are they manual? Also, what are the scripts doing? Are they looking for an Adobe Analytics call to be made with particular key values pairs?

Re: Adobe Target problem: Banner is not responsive Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
When you say responsive, are you referring to the styling of the banner (css) or a grouping of images that are different sizes? If it is the css route, you can write your own rules: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_css_image_responsive.asp

Re: Multiple mbox requests on a page sending the same ent... Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
Agreed with @ryanr79035901 You can also look at getOffers and only pass entity to the request that you care about: adobe.target.getOffers({ request: { execute: { mboxes: [ { index: 0, name: "first-mbox" }, { index: 1, name: "second-mbox", parameters: { a: 1 }, profileParameters: { b: 2 } } ] } } }); however, it will require you updating to the latest version of Adobe Target.

Re: Target API response Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
Could you rephrase the question? Are you saying that you want html returned instead of json? If you need to only have HTML, you will need some layer between Target and your application. Express works really well and gives you a middle tier to parse the json and only return back the html response.

Re: Personalized Product Recommendations Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
I assume you are talking about the Recommendations product. It may not be the most elegant id, but you could create a product for each user id and upload your own custom criteria for recommendations. https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/target/using/recommendations/criteria/recommendations-csv.html In order for it to work, you would need a database of products: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/target/using/recommendations/entities/feeds.html Only weird part will be that you need to pass ...

Re: How can we retrieve tntIDs for all users from Adobe T... Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
Maybe an Adobe employee would know how to get that information. You could always try and log that information through the order mbox solution: https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/target/using/implement-target/client-side/mbox-implement/orderconfirm-create.html The idea would be to create an orderId that was some combination timestamp and the tnt id from the mbox cookie. Not going to be much fun if you have a lot of users though. Would highly recommend implementing the mboxthirdpartyid solutio...

Is the Visitor API integrated on the client side of the app that you are working on? I presume that the cookie pool is already around and in a place that you just use it as a pass thru.

Re: DMP audiences in target Eric_Vidana - Adobe Target
You could leverage the profile parameters that can be set on the Adobe Target call (profile.*). Any parameters that are sent will eventually show up in the Audience builder. Not sure if you are using tntId or mboxthirdpartyid as the unique identifier. targetPageParamsAll() Target also has some APIs that could update profiles offline straight from the DMP tool.
