Is this still showing up as "Results not Ready"? If so, are you able to share the details of the Criteria?

It sounds like you are experiencing a bug then. I am taking text from this page: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/recommendations/criteria/create-new-algorithm.html?lang=en#similarity (Optional) Slide the Recommend Previously Purchased Items toggle to the “on” position. This setting is based on the productPurchasedId. The default behavior is to not recommend previously purchased items. In most cases you do not want to promote items a customer has recently purchased. The only thing I know of is overriding the ip address, but it only works for AT 1.xhttps://www.mycompany.com?mboxOverride.browserIp=60.234.0.39 Maybe a VPN connection to a different geo? Thought this was helpful as well. https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-target-questions/geo-targeting-not-working-and-showing-challenger-to-excluded/qaq-p/170608

@zach_shearer good catch. I was thinking about the audience builder where it is named Current Page. page.url is the right token.

Do you have these settings in the QA URLs? There is a slider for QA urls being allowed to bypass audience rules.

I think it would be good to look at the debug params that come along with Target. Go into Admin / Implementation and generate a new debug token and include that with your request. You should see a different sort of response that includes mboxTrace. It should output the profile of the user in question. What you want to look for is user.endpoint.lastPurchasedEntity. Let me know if that yields any insight..

Just curious ... do you happen to have any of these settings turned on? And what is your success metric? https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/activities/success-metrics/success-metrics.html?lang=en#what-will-happen-after-a-user-encounters-this-goal-metric%3F Also, what sort of profile are you using for the user? Out of the box TNTID or mbox3rdpartyid? Another thought would be to split your audience in half via profile scripts and run an Experience Targeting activity where group 1...

@johnuff also, window.adobe.target.trackEvent({'mbox':'facetClick'}) the mbox name 'facetClick' will be your input/mbox name on that settings page. You can name this whatever your want. Nothing special about facetClick.

@johnuff correct. set it up as a viewed an mbox rather than click. I have noticed that click only seems to pertain to the same name as the entry mbox. I think you are on the right track.

The entity.id param will assist with recently viewed algorithms. If you want to suppress a view, then you need to treat a view as a purchase. The reader needs to 'buy' the article if that makes sense. You can create an orderConfirmation Target request to achieve this. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/implement-target/client-side/mbox-implement/orderconfirm-create.html?lang=en#implement-target productPurchasedId

Can you talk a bit more about your scenario? Are you wanting Target to respond back after a certain time on page or are you wanting to create an audience of people who spend more than X time on Y page? Time on page is more of an analytics thing, but you could certainly track that client side and create a profile variable for the active user and what their average time on page is.

Are you trying to have all of those function as conversion mbox events? Could just put a click handler on all of them via client side js and fire off a trackEvent call. Something like function fireConversion() { window.adobe.target.trackEvent({'mbox':'facetClick'}) } document.querySelectorAll('div.someclass').forEach((d)=> { d.addEventListener("click", fireConversion); });

If you want it persist, you would need to do that at the profile script level.https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/audiences/visitor-profiles/profile-parameters.html?lang=en#objects-and-methodshttps://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/audiences/visitor-profiles/use-profile-scripts-to-test-mutually-exclusive-activities.html?lang=en#setting-up-three-or-more-activitiesWrite a profile script to grab the utm and store it into user.utm. Would be nice to include a dialog that warns you if the criteria is being used so you do not impact an activity.

Admittedly, I do not know much about this space. Have you posted this in the AEM community? Sounds like a caching/edge-side includes issue to me and not specifically about Adobe Target. https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/optimizing-aem-site-caches.html I am also interested in this use case.

It sounds like you are trying to get Target to establish a sort of journey. I am not aware of any out of the box functionality that could assist here, however, you could leverage the global Target call and response tokens to have knowledge of what kind of user your are working with. The idea would go like this, create a profile script that puts the user into a bucket (A or B). Go into settings and turn on a new response token (the one you just created) and then you will need to listen for it on ...

Is the issue happening somewhere that you could share? If not, do you happen to have the targetGlobalSettings as an object anywhere?window.targetGlobalSettings = { cookieDomain: 'asdf.com', timeout: 200, // using custom timeout visitorApiTimeout: 500, // using custom API timeout enabled: document.location.href.indexOf('https://www.adobe.com') >= 0 // enabled ONLY on adobe.com };

I think of it like a spreadsheet with the first column being the product id as a starting point (current product page, last viewed product, most viewed product) and all subsequent columns being potential recommendations which are generated upon creating an activity with a particular criteria in mind (site affinity, people who did this did that, most popular, etc.). Perhaps light machine learning with a defined starting point. So, it is a little bit like a search engine but without the filtering ...
