In authoring, we have two servers. One is active, the other is passive (fronted by a load balancer). They are in a cluster. What we have witnessed is that if one of those servers is shutdown improperly, not only does it not come up correctly, but it freezes the cluster to the point where both servers do not respond.
I am aware of the standard way to fix this issue. My question is to more of the community of AEM users, have you noticed this ? Is this is major issue for you? What does your standard clustering setup look like ?
