When I create a new folder in assets, there is a checkbox for Private and Orderable. what do each of those properties impact specifically?

1. You can create a private folder in AEM DAM that is available exclusively to you. You can share this private folder to other users and the assign various privileges to them. Based on the privilege level you assign, users can perform various tasks on the folder, for example view assets within the folder or edit the assets.

2. Orderable checkbox in AEM Assets lets you sort folder assets. More info here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/assets/managing/enhance-sort.html?lang...
Hope this helps.

@diksha_mishra @aembytes When I initially saw "Orderable" as an option I thought that meant that there was a way users could order prints using Brand Portal not that they could arrange the order of assets in folders. I'm wondering if there is a way to allow users to order (as in receive prints) via AEM Brand Portal or connecting Brand Portal with our printing system?

Hello,
This was very helpful. I'm wondering how one can make a folder that was created but not marked orderable orderable after the fact.
Thank you!
Hi Edardna,
Making a folder orderable after creating it is super easy once you know where to go. Select the folder you wish to make orderable (don't click into the folder; click the checkbox that belongs to it) and click on "properties (p)" in the top navigation bar. Once on the properties page, you should have an option to make the folder orderable under the "details" section. Click the checkbox associated with the orderable option, save and your folder will now be orderable. Let me know if this helps!
Best,
E
