Ability to update user names in Admin Console

When a user gets added via Admin Console without entering first and last names (that are optional), the user is listed as [None] that is confusing.

Make it possible to update user names (that is not possible today) or, alternatively, pull the names from the user account (Adobe ID). Today even if the user sets the first and last names in their account (account.adobe.com), the values do not get synced with Admin Console.

Hi @Andrey_Osadchuk , it doesn't look like this is the same issue since you're using Adobe IDs, and this is probably just a bug, but there's similarly odd behavior using Federated IDs. My organization uses multiple IMS Orgs which means multiple instances of Admin Console. Since we use SSO there is some linking that happens between these Admin Consoles to allow for a domain to be used more than once. One of the bugs is that if a user is added to a specific Admin Console first, that is where they will need to have their account information updated from.

Hello! I was having the same issue. I figured out how to add a name instead of None. From the users page, click on the three dots on the right > Edit user details by CSV.

Download the file, make your changes, re-upload and refresh the page.

PierrePe - I performed the procedure you described multiple times (triple checked the information in the file was correct too!!).  but the user name, first name and last name sill are not updated.  Quite frustrating.

@jeff581 The odd thing is, I also updated the User Groups on the CSV and they all updated. But when I download the CSV of current users again, the First/Surname fields remain blank, resulting in [None] being displayed.

@gregc_inivos Same problem here.

I've tried it multiple times and it says that the changes are successful, but nothing changes... The names stay [None]  and in the .csv the names stay blank.

Does somebody (from Adobe) have a solution? It's a small thing, but really frustrating.

Thanks in advance!

Let the user log in using his adobe account and the is an option to select  once logged in, skip this or Join a team. Select join a team to update his profile to connect to you company license portal. Once updated, refresh your license portal and it should show the name and the last name of the new user.

@jtabangay Thank you for that information! I have the same issues as above and will try your method.

STILL, let me say, that is not acceptable...lol. I just want it to work correctly. All of my other users (73 of them) added just fine. Now, not!

It's 2023...and to edit a single user one has to use a CSV file?  Also the edit with CSV doesn't seem to work either.  Being able to edit a user account is something most web based administration consoles have allowed for a minimum of 15-20 years...without having the only way of interacting with a file to download and edit on a desktop to upload it again with a false "success" message.  This is laughably inept, at best.
