Trigger Campaign - Managing Changes and Testing

Avatar

Hello,

Hoping for some guidance on this. I was wondering what would be the best way to manage the change and testing process in an ongoing trigger campaign. For example, if I were to make a change to an ongoing campaign, is there a way / process to ensure that new trigger doesn't automatically go live without me first being able to approve and test?

Any insight would be appreciated!

I would suggest having a workflow template along with the delivery template as a baseline for testing. Create a workflow using the workflow template and setup recurring delivery using the delivery template and make necessary updates. Have a profile created to test the workflow. You can use either profile substitution functionality or setup mock profiles to test it out and confirm everything looks good.

and how to enable profile substitution on recurring delivery given here, https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-campaign-standard/how-to-use-profile-substitu...

Once workflow and delivery changes testing look good, update the live workflow with the changes.

@sswildhack21,

If you can detail on what kind of trigger campaign you're using will help to provide guidance.

So for example, if we had an existing offer campaign that was triggered to discount 5% for existing customers but wanted to change that offer within the ongoing campaign, is there a way to make sure we are able to test and approve a new offer of let's say 10% without the update immediately going live?
