Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, so if it isn't someone please let me know and direct me to the proper location. When searching for specific pages in the Reports section we've noticed that some pages that contain querystring parameters seem to exclude the querystring parameters from the URL that is displayed in the listing. The querystring parameters are important in determining what content is displayed on these particular pages, so we'd like to have them included in the report results. Is there a particular setting/edit that is needed to ensure that the querystring parameters are included in the results?
Thanks in advance,
Dwayne

Hi Dwayne,
The query you have raised have multiple aspect to it . One by default there is no Page URL report in the Menu what is there is Pages report (Which capture the page name) , if you are capturing the Page URL in evar or Prop please check if query string is within the character limit .
Second , If you are checking Page URL in the data warehouse report and query string is stripping then yes there is a setting that need to be checked from the back end of Adobe .
For that please contact client care (if you are a supported user) or contact your supported user so that they can help you in better way .

Thanks for the speedy response Karandeep. I'm new to this so I'm not exactly sure of all the lingo you used in your response, but I'll try my best to reply intelligently. The URLs are pretty short, so I doubt it's the first point that you raised. Regarding your second point, if when you indicate the "data warehouse report" you're referring to the "Reports" section in the Adobe Analytics metrics site, then yes that's what I'm talking about. I believe my organization has a support contract with Adobe, but I'm not sure what client care is, or how to contact them. I guess I can give the info you provided to the person who created my account here at my organization.
Thanks again,
Dwayne

Hi Dwayne,
Data Warehouse is a interface to extract data, you do not want to ude that as your everyday reporting interface.
Can you post a few URLs here where Adobe does not get the query strings, then I can quickly check your implementation as I suspecthat one for removing the query strings...

Hi Løjmann,
Sure here are a couple of URLs where the query string parameter is being stripped out:
https://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/pub-details/?pubid=83077
https://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/pub-details/?pubid=83035
Thanks again for the quick response. You guys have a great community here. I've submitted questions to other support sites where you're lucky to get a response within a week.

Hi Dwayne,
Looking at what data is sent to Adobe, the URL isn't one of them. It may be stored in a prop or eVar server side (via processing rules for examples), but I can't see that. You will have to ask your implementation team about that.
Looking at the URL: https://www.ers.usda.gov/publications/pub-details/?pubid=83035, i see a page name called 'publications: fruit and tree nuts outlook: fruit and tree nuts outlook: april 2017' being tracked as the default page name. See the attached file, for the full debugger.
If you have reports showing you the URL's, it may as I said being made via processing rules, or the page name value are missing, and then Adobe defaults to the URL's... I suggest you ask you dev team for additional details...
