this ‘MooV’ file is damaged or unsupported

I use after effects version 11.0.3.6 on a mac with yosemite osX and when importing a quicktime it gives me this message: file ‘[file name].mov’ cannot be imported – this ‘MooV’ file is damaged or unsupported. The files I'm trying to import were done in Final Cut Pro by a different user.

When I go to my [OS Drive]/Library/QuickTime. to make a copy of DVCPROHDVideoOutput.component to the desktop I don't have it installed. I've had this problem before and I think I already erased it but that did not solve the problem before. I've also tried installing the Apple ProApps QuickTime Codecs 1.0.2 update but that didn't solve the problem either since I don't own Final Cut Pro, Compressor or Motion. I've read this crash only occurs in After Effects CC (12.0) because of some code but that it doesn't happen in older versions but in my case (version 11.0.3.6) it's not working either.

If you know what else to do please let me know. Thanks.
