I have situatie where I want to compare the number of unique visitors from one period against same period last year.
When I look at the results i get, the sum total on the bottom does not equal the numbers in the different fields above. Sometimes the difference is significant
Is this familiar? How can this be resolved?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards
Mahad Ahmed

There is also a help article that explains more about why the total value can be different than the sum of the rows on different reports.

The sum at the bottom is the number of unique visitors over that period, the total in each row is the total for that period.
For example if you visit your website on 1st day and 3rd day you'll be a unique visitor for each of those days but only 1 unique visitor in the sum total.

HI Mahad,
This is because the totals are deduplicated. For example, one visitor comes and views 3 pages. For the individual pages there would be 1 unique view (total of 3) but the is the same. So this will make Unique Views = 3 and Unique Visitor =1.
Do take a look at this article https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/kb/en_US/analytics/kb/sum-line-items-different-from-total...
Thanks!
