Hello Community,
Let me explain the scenario I am facing with Login Credentials of adobe.
Previously we had company email name as "shortid@company.com" and I had my Adobe Analytics login with the same. After that due to our company policy our email id has been changed to "firstname.lastname@company.com" and this marked as FEDERATED ID. A new ID in adobe is being created for me with "firstname.lastname@company.com" - so now I have two IDs in Adobe.
My old ID (shortid@company.com) was having only one application and that is Adobe Analytics and new ID (firstname.lastname@company.com) was having for applications (Data Collection,Software Distribution, System Status and Workfront). I am a Web Data Analyst in the organization and I was using "shortid@company.com" as my login credential to access Adobe Analytics.
Now an admin right user of our company account in adobe converted my Adobe Analytics ID to FEDERATED ID to enable SSO Login.
As a reason whenever I am trying to use my "shortid@company.com" to login into adobe analytics it is redirecting to FEDERATED ID and Adobe Analytics is not linked with it.
I had a conversation with Adobe Support and they have confirmed; "that once an Adobe ID is switched to a Federated ID, the change cannot be reversed. Moreover, Adobe treats each ID type as independent—assets do not automatically transfer from Adobe ID to Federated ID." Adobe Support mentioned that the case is complex, and they will attempt a backend remediation to recover and map our assets. This requires involvement from multiple internal Adobe teams and is expected to take at least 5 working days.
I just wanted to know from the experts of the community whether they have heard about such situation previously and if yes do you think this can be solved or not?
Sorry for the long post but it is easy to understand that all my works are on hold - I am curious to know the future possible scenario.
Regards
