Cannot get rolling dates to work for other than Sun - Sat dates

Hi,

I am trying to get Weekly metrics for the time period 9/22 - 10/12.  The weeks need to be Tuesday -> Monday

Custom Expressions:  From: cw-4w+2d   To:  cw-1w+1d

Apply Granularity: Week

The date ranges I get back are:   9/22 - 9/26, 9/27 - 10/3, 10/4 - 10/10, and 10/11 - 10/12

I have attached a screenshot of the first page of the Report Builder wizard.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Kathryn

The dates with the standard Gregorian calendar are set to Sunday through Saturday. So your Report Builder formula will produce the observed results, because your rolling date range is spanning across definitions of a week (Sunday to Saturday). An alternative would be to set your rolling date range to be day granularity on your Tuesday -> Monday offset and then do custom expression work in Excel to add up by your week definition Tuesday -> Monday.

You can modify your calendar at a report suite level to 'modified Gregorian calendar' via the Adobe Analytics Admin Console, but be aware this has far implications for your reporting views for all users.

Hi Kathryn,

There are some considerations that you may need to factor in while using customized expressions for date ranges. These considerations are given here - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/arb/considerations.html

I would recommend going through this article and see if everything is taken into account.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.  I have read through that article, but it seems to indicate that weeks are ALWAYS Sunday through Saturday.  Is that the case?  If not, I still don't see how to change it to weeks being from Monday through Sunday.

Example:  I select time period of Monday,9/28 through Sunday, 10/18 and choose Weekly Granularity.  The first 'week' is Monday,9/28 - Saturday,10/3.  The second and third weeks are Sunday through Saturday. The fourth 'week' is Sunday 10/18 - Sunday 10/18.

Kathryn

So can I get a definitive answer on this?  Can Rolling Weeks be anything other than Sun - Saturday?  If they can, how is it done?

Here is my example:  I select time period of Monday,9/28 through Sunday, 10/18 and choose Weekly Granularity.  The first 'week' is Monday,9/28 - Saturday,10/3.  The second and third weeks are Sunday through Saturday. The fourth 'week' is Sunday 10/18 - Sunday 10/18.  What I want is the each week is Monday - Sunday.

I can't believe that this can't be done, but I have tried everything I can think of...

Thanks,

Kathryn
