Access to real-time reports with deactivated "Reports" section?

We are currently in the midst of simplifying our Adobe Analytics implementation and access for end-users in our company.

One goal is to get rid of the old "Reports" section as there are still several people in the organization that are using outdated & old reports – no matter how many times we tell them to use "Workspace" instead.

One issue we are now facing: We still would want to keep up the access to the Real-Time Reports (which are to our knowledge only accessible from within the old "Reports" section).

We have tried several possibilities within the Admin console of limiting Analytics and Report Suite tools, but could not find a way to strip the users of all other reports than just the Real-Time. As soon as we give access to the old Reports section, all old reports are available to the user.

Is there any way to keep alive the Real-Time report but get rid of all other (standard) reports in the "Reports" section?

Dear All,

To conclude, There is no user Level Permission to give access only to Real Time Reports but not Reports and Analytics Interface.

To give Real Time Reports only access but not Reports and Analytics Interface we can use 'Customize Menu' option in Adobe Analytics Admin Interface (By Report Suites) to toggle the visibility excluding Real Time Reports. But need to note that the toggle will work globally for all the users and not user specific.

Thank You!

Dear Joerg,

Adding only 'RealTime Report' under 'Report Suite Tools' + 'Analysis Workspace Access & Analysis Workspace Access: Save As Template' under 'Analytics Tools' didn't work?. If not, i am afraid the option is not available.

Hi Arun,

thanks a lot for your reply! No, unfortunately not. We've already tried this combination, but when clicking on a link to a Real-Time Report the user gets redirected to the general Workspace overview page.

That's unfortunate because we think that the Reports section is outdated and want to limit access, but still need to have access to the Real Time Reports (as there is no alternative in Workspace available)...

Dear Joerg,

Unfortunate. Raise it as an Idea so that Engineering Team will look into it.

Thank You!

We found another possibility: In the Admin section in Adobe Analytics there's the possibility to Customize Menus. There you can toggle visibility for individual reports and thereby customize the section. Kind of what we wanted ;-)

Dear Joerg,

Great. To add, it is not user level customization, but company level i.e. No one can see the menus if it is toggled off.

Thank You!
