Could not belive that they were MISSING when I tried to create a funnel. Had to go back to the product and dev teams to request that they fire a NEW event in addition to the two I was going to add together and use in a funnel. Was frustrating and made me feel like a bad analytst that I couldn't deliver the beautiful funnel I'd promised.
Based on the number of votes and comments, I'm definitely going to ask our engineering team why this isn't possible and how hard it would be to get it done. Thanks, everyone. Keep submitting/voting/commenting!
One question, actually: Which calculated metrics were you hoping to include in a conversion funnel? And where in the funnel were you hoping to add them?
This might be simplistic, but I think of conversion funnels as a series of discrete events that mark progress from acqusition (top of the funnel) to conversion (buttom of the funnel). Most common calculated metrics are usually rates/ratios (AOV, Conversion Rate, Time Spent per Visitor, etc.). So it seems like they don't fit into a chronological path. Can you help me understand the use case?
