I feel your pain! I thought this was a bug for the longest time, and
just kept waiting for the fix to go live, but customer care said it's
intended behavoir. Very strange. It would be like removing a segment
when you do a breakdown.
Hey Ben, The primary use case would be to catch a broken metric that
makes it to prod as quickly as possible, so that it can be fixed right
away. In an ideal world, this would never happen, but in reality, I
would bet that every analyst has experienced it at least once. This
would be the saftey net. For example, our share click tracking is quite
sensitive--I would set up analomaly detection for share rate with a
bunch of segments (browser, content type, device) and have SiteCat
notify me if shar...
I think that will show you single page visit rate. I want a bounce rate
that means the user came and took off without interaction with any page
element we trackreading an entire articlegoing to a second page. The
above will only give you the third. Katy
Add a ? by calculated metrics when they appear on reports. When a user
clicks, provide a 1 line descript of calc metrics and provide the
forumla. It's often confusing for other users who didn't make the Global
Metric, what exactly is going into it.
We have a lot of "impression events". They fire on a page automatically
when an element loads. This is making our Bounce Rate look insanely low
(it's currently useless), because few visits are single beacon visits.
Please give us the ability to tag events as "non-interaction" events so
they are not considered when calculating bounce rate. Ideally we (SC
admins) would be able to toggle this setting for Events admin so we
wouldn't have to go thru the dev team/ change code, etc. etc.
If someone lands on your site, then watches a video, or clicks an exit
or download link, but does NOT view another page, is that a

I got asked by our CEO: How is average time on site trending? Up, down,
the same? I have no easy way to answer this in Version 15 without
running the report for each month and adding the numbers to an XLS and
making my own graph. Lame.
In response to JDNland's question: What are the top 5 reports that you
would like have Bounce Rate on? These are my top two: 1. Referrer
Types2. Referring Domains (like the Google Analytics engagement report
I would like to be able to put real time reporting on the big flat
screen in my office so our writers & community managers can see what's
happening in real time-- just like Google Analtyics' real-time
reporting, which is fantastic.
No way to put dashboards in folders? For real? This tool amazes me anew
each and every day! Product People: Time to get back to basics. And stop
taking features away--folders used to exist but not any more. ::big
I just got the following email from our CEO: "Whats happening with time
on site from a trend standpoint?" I have no easy way to answer with the
'buckets.' Just give me a number I can trend. Please, please, please.
P.S. We are on version 15.
Please do it!!!!!!! Drives me crazy that I have to use my bounce rate
calculated metric (entries/second page views) which DOES NOT match the
way you calc bounce rate, thus leading to discrepancies, thus leading to
exec's asking why they don't match. Not good.
