Using calculated metrics in segments would be a huge help. We have many,
many custom events that we'd like to use when creating segments. For
example: (Custom Event 1 + Custom Event 2) / Visits We'd like to see
this in all tools. Reports & Analytics, Report Builder, Ad Hoc Anaysis,
Right now we have to enter IP addresses manually when excluding them in
Admin. I'd love to be able to copy them to other reprot suites the same
as we can do with Processing Rules. Either one-by-one or the whole list
and apply to a single or several report suites, all with a few clicks.
Ad Hoc only allows us to plot on 1 Y axis. Being able to plot on a 2nd,
especially in the case of calculated metrics, would make the
visualization much better. See example below. The green line is visits.
The blue is a conversion event. The red is the conversion rate. That
conversion rate really takes off but you can't see that on the chart
below. An option similar to what Excel allows us to do would make this
chart much more impactful.
The training videos are a great resource. However, new colleagues who
aren't familiar with the legacy names (SiteCatalyst, Discover, Excel
Client) and the old Green-and-white interface, aren't able to follow
along since these videos use outdated names and interfaces. And
unfortunately, this is the most important audience for these videos.
Please update the videos using current names and interfaces.
I know there's a plug-in for this, but page load speed should be a
default metric. This should be available out of the box without custom
code or requiring use of a custom event. There are enough mysteries when
solving SEO riddles!
There isn't a way to see the status of classification imports (formerly,
SAINT) in the Admin Interface. Previously we could at least see if
something was processing (but not % completion or estimated completion
time). Now we can't see anything. And with multiple people involved,
this gets tricky. Can you add something so we can see if data is
processing, better yet, % completion and which user uploaded?
This is great and seems like it would be high-impact, low effort. I
always struggle to get development teams to implement code because they
are worried about how much work it will be for them. This would really
help my argument and I'm sure I'm not alone on this one!
The site overview dashboareds would be much more useful if
administrators could customize them and push them to all users. We can
customize them now but we have to tell users to adopt them on an
individual basis. That's very labor intensive and unlikely to happen.
Some typical customizations I'd like to make are:1. Remove the search
engine keywords reportlet (thanks google!)2. Update the Key Metrics
reportlet with site-specific metrics instead of page views, visits and
visitors3. Update the Repo...
Being able to include two dimensions in report builder is helpful but I
often need more. See table below. If I run a SKU report, I can also pull
in a dimension like Product Name. But that's it - only one additional
dimension. I'd like to be able to pull in more. For example, see the
grey columns below? Additional dimensions in this report will make it
much easier to sort through and share with people who can't/won't/don't
log in to Adobe Analytics.
We have one site that houses content for many clients. We want to give
access to each of those clients, but legally, we can’t allow them to see
each other’s data. Right now, I'm able to create user groups and
restrict access to data by report suite. If I had an additional option
when creating a user group to restrict access by a report suite AND a
segment, that would help. Seems like there would be a recurring need for
Adobe’s agency accounts to make use of this.
I need to compare date ranges in Discover the same way I an in Site
Catalyst. I think this was available in Discover until recently. Anyway,
I need a way to calculate the difference between time periods (and sort
by the Change column) as illustrated below.
You can do that through the Admin Interface. Go to Admin > Report
Suites. Then select the report suite(s) where you want to hide those
events. Then go to General > Edit Settings > Customize Menu. Screenshot
below shows you the rest from there.
The vendor you use to classify IP addresses and designate visitor
location changed the name of some of the cities. For instance, what was
"London (England, United Kingdom)" is now "London (London, United
Kingdom)". The change was made October 26, 2012. So any segment that was
build prior to that will not work. And trending or Year Over Year
comparisons are invalid, due to the name change. Also, the new names
make less sense than the old names. Every little snafu like this causes
stakeholders to ...
Our Browser report shows "None" as one of the top browser in many of our
report suites. When I break that "None" down by user agent string, I see
that almost all of them are mobile browsers. Please update the list of
user agent strings used in the Browser report to include mobile
Processing rules can be a life saver. As this is a new feature, there
are many enhancements that can be made and would probably be difficult
to think up without a beta program. Any chance you could start a beta
around processing rules? Some features I'd love to see: Copying rules to
add to, not replace existing rulesSelect some, not all rules to copyAdd
ability to force to lower case and trim stringsAccess to channel and
The use of calculated metrics (specific conversion event / visit) is the
most useful way to evaluate conversion variables and traffic sources.
But we aren't able to use calculated metrics when setting default
metrics for report suites. Can you change that so we can set
business-specific, calculated metrics as default? We have 3 metrics
available now so being able to select the following as default would
make it easier to see highly relevant data. Visits as a denominator to
compare raw traffic vo...
Thanks! I thought of that but we maxed out our 15 ReportBuilder
Licenses. And they're spread across multiple site with diffrent business
models and custom variables. So adding my repoort requests to other
Report Builder licenses isn't much of an option.
