It would be marvelous to have the ability to create an email message that is specific to one project's tasks (not system-wide events, reminders, or notifications) that is sent to new task assignees.Use case: Our Member Experience (MXP) team reviews member surveys and forwards them on to supervisors all over the organization for additional follow up and collaboration. Each week, MXP Analysts are tracking hundreds of these survey reviews in an Excel spreadsheet, sending an Outlook template email to the necessary supervisors, and collaborating with the supervisors via email. The assignment, tracking, collaboration, and reporting are all disparate and there is no clear visibility even just in the MXP Analyst team. Our thought was to have the MXP Analysts enter a task for the supervisor's review, which would generate a customized email upon assignment (provides unique guidance and input specific to those tasks only), and have the supervisors reply to the email with updates so the Sta
My organization often works with customers in person or online and then someone internally will submit work on their behalf. Being that the system recognizes the person logged in as the requestor, we are automatically tied to the request. We do not want our staff listed as the requestor or contact, they are merely the person facilitating the data entry to assist a customer. We tend to need both a requestor and contact that are both actively involved in the overall process of completing the work. We would like a mechanism in which our customer support staff and some other managers can submit work without tying their name to the entry. Either a delegate option or a tool similar to the admins where they can log in as someone else. This would also be related to copying a request which does not help us either being that it also adds in the person as the requestor when we want the original customer information attached and not our staff.
My organization is challenged greatly by the inability to copy the initial requestor and contact over to the project when converting. These are key fields for our users and we need this information in order to work with our customers. We have been using the sponsor field to add in the primary contact but this is not adequate for our needs and causes more work. We are a very production based (not project based) organization thousands of short-turn jobs. We aren't able to display the customer information easily to our staff which causes frustration. We created a custom form that copies information over from the request but it is buried in the project details. We also need the ability to update the requestor and contact once a project is created. We have 80,000+ staff in our organization and they move frequently from dept to dept. We often need to update work mid-stream to accommodate these shifts in personnel.
In order to send a rich push, such as including a JPEG or video file in a push, you need to host the asset internally and place the image path URL into the ACS push campaign. This creates extra steps and requires the user to have a CMS of some sort to host the images you want. ACS should allow users to upload images and video assets into ACS to host for rich push.
Standard view in task list has built-in, always on conditional formatting when a task’s assignee impacts the timeline, rather than a one-time error message (see screenshot) saying they have PTO that then shifts out the whole project timeline. For example how it should work ideally is when you make an assignment and the timeline shifts, the impacted dates turn blue. If you swap out the assignee for someone without Time Off, the dates shift back to black text, white background.
Option to constrain assignments to job roles and groups in-line, not just in the Scheduling tool
The new email notifications for task assignments (Predecessors complete, for example) need to include the project name.
When you make an assignment, the system displays a user’s primary job role along with the name. For large companies with a lot of users, the first and last name plus the primary job role is not necessarily enough to identify the user. Title would be better than job role, or in addition to job role.
For recurring tasks, right now you can only choose the day of the month you want it to start. Please update that feature so you can choose the exact date of the month. For example, if you want these recurring tasks to all be due on the 10th of each month, by choosing the 10th day of the month option it is not guaranteed that July 10th actually falls on the 10th day of the month.
Currently when you create a recurring task, if you apply a custom form to the initial task, it is NOT applied to the repeating/recurring child tasks, which makes no sense since recurring tasks are just duplicated tasks and should have the same settings/forms applied to them. Instead, you have to create the recurring task series, then select all and bulk edit to add a custom form.
Allow users to create recurring tasks on a timeline other than weekly, monthly, etc. For example set up a recurring tasks for every 6 weeks.
We need a way to create recurring tasks that have a pre-set the duration AND planned hours. You can do duration in "simple" mode and planned hours in "Effort driven" mode, but there isn't a way to create multiple tasks at the same time with both set duration & planned hours-- they come up blank (simple) or you can't change them (effort driven).
The functionality for setting up recurring tasks initially is easy to understand and set up, but the way the tasks are labeled is a chore. If I have a user who processes DCM tickets every day, I end up having them look like this: DCM Tickets 1DCM Tickets 2DCM Tickets 3 In a user report, the task names above are not helpful. Would it be possible to use the date guidelines set to create some sort of naming convention? I am basically looking for overall improvement in how recurring tasks are executed in the system.
It would be helpful to have the ability to display a total when showing Pie Charts. For example, we have a pie chart showing active project broken down by RAG status. If we had the ability to add a total within the chart it would show the breakdown of Active projects and also show that there are a total of ___Active projects overall without them having to go into the details tab or having to do the math themselves.
Enable us to assign percentages to role assignments in templates. Frequently, the hours are not distributed evenly across roles for a task. Ex: Proof R2 might be 15 min for a copywriter, 30 min for an art director and 1 hour for legal. Rather than build 3 tasks for Proof R2, it would be great to distribute percentages at the template level to efficiency. At a template level, it should be at the role level, not individual assignments, which is how it is built.
I would like to be able to see within the document details when a decision has been made (approval/approved with changes/reject). Right now we can only see that a document has had a decision made.
We’d like the ability to restrict an issue custom form so it can only be used as part of a request queue, not added manually to an issue. It would help enforce the process to require users to use the request queue.
It would be nice if system admins had additional control on the date fields. Some of the enhancements for the date field should include:Limiting dates before the current date or a set number of daysLimiting dates after the current date of a set number of daysCreating date dependencies/rules between dates on the form.
When we do exports, the subject line is not accessible via a workflow. It is a real issue for doing reports.
Since Adobe runs our AEM environment in AWS, we would like Adobe to make use of the AWS security features for my company. Here’s the specifics:We want to use AWS STS to manage access to the companies Cognito service in AWS to get access to a JWT. This is instead of using CryptoSupport. We would like to make use of AWS Secrets Manager and/or AWS Parameter Store to protect sensitive data. We would like to use a Customer Managed Key provided by the customer for Secrets Manager and Parameter Store. Our objective is to not allow developer or Adobe support personnel from seeing any sensitive items like a password, api key, access credentials. Since AWS has services that meet our needs, we would like Adobe to expose those services to us through the AEM authoring / administrative tools.
When we add absolute image url with preset having $, the css file will not load and throw exception from OOB code (com/adobe/granite/ui/clientlibs/script/Utils.java). But by escaping $ we can overcome above issue and load the css file with preset correctly. .load { background:url("https://scene7.image.com/is/image/adobe/someimageutl?\$native\$");}
WHAT WE HAVE In AEM x.x.x version we have mechanism to check duplicate images being uploading in DAM which is supported by unique SHA1 value. This verification process is done during uploading of new Assets. 1. By enabling duplicate OSGI asset service 2. OOTB mechanism is the SHA1 value check. Currently , other way of achieving similarity/ identical is by using Sensei which will be based on tags but this process is again done AFTER successful Asset upload and enabling of SMART tags to specific folders. WHAT WE DO NOT HAVE We do not have mechanism where a Author WHILE uploading can know if there is any similar / identical assets i.e. Assets which have been cropped or change in color shade etc. This should not be related to any property value check or SHA1 value instead check the pixels or any other parameter. AUTHORING Challenges use caseIn our current system we have thousands of pages with images of business leaders with differe
Creating adaptive forms via drag and drop bricks with a straight forward visual feedback (a bit like wufoo.com does, but adaptive!) – wouldn’t that be cool ?
Hello Team, We are using AEM 6.4.2 integrated with Dynamic Media. Here to fetch the URL of synced asset we are using com.day.cq.dam.s7dam.common.utils.PublishUtilsImpl.externalizeImageDeliveryAsset() by passing the resource object of the asset. We are seeing the unclosed resource resolver issue in logs. Please suggest. Any other way to fetch the DM published URL if not above? I suspect that in "com.day.cq.dam.scene7.impl.Scene7AEMBridgeImpl" resourceresolver might not be closed after processing. 14.10.2020 02:20:14.950 *WARN* [Apache Sling Resource Resolver Finalizer Thread] org.apache.sling.resourceresolver.impl.CommonResourceResolverFactoryImpl Closed unclosed ResourceResolver.
